So tough to pick, but I'll give it a go. These aren't based on any sort of artistic merit, or anything, just my 5 "go to" movies.

1) Caddyshack
2) The Royal Tenenbaums (Really any Wes Anderson film could go here)

Not in any particular order...

E.T.
The Empire Strikes Back
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

5. Gone With the Wind

Mine change all of the time, depending on the mood.

Requiem for a Dream is an interesting movie but it wouldn't make my top list.

Love Persuasion, love seeing it on your list.

Mine would be a combination of well-crafted and the ability to watch over and over:

1) Shaun of the Dead
2) Back to the Future Trilogy
3) Persuasion
4) Shadow of a Doubt
5) The General

This is off the top of my head, might change slightly if I really think about it.

5. You Can't Take it with You
4. The White Cliffs of Dover
3. The Godfather
2. It's a Wonderful Life
1. The Godfather II

1. The Haunting (original)
2. Steel Magnolias
3. Airplane
4. Stars Wars IV, V, VI (to me they belong together)
5. The Thin Man movies

Honorable mention goes to all Cary Grant movies. I have trouble picking out just one.
