Top Five Dinner Restaurants for a Honeymoon in October!

Either Citricos or Narcoosee's one night (I have done V&A in the past...years ago when I was still with my ex-husband...so I don't want to repeat it-seems ookie)

Looking for an Epcot idea...I've done San Angel and Le Cellier before...looking for something new.

definitally citricos!! they have an amazing crab cake, and a great filet. Ask for Jose if you go!

As for Epcot, what about chefs de france? Check out the menu on all ears...its not as "typical french" as one might think and its GREAT!!

I am amping up plans as we get closer, and a little terrified how the new ADR process will work. First off, has anyone been at the above mentioned restaurants lately? Any new additions for the list?

I'm hoping Iron Chef Cora's place will be open when we are there...

  :bride: :cheer2: princess:

I saw you were considering Hollywood Brown Derby, but seem to have changed your mind. If you want to eat some meals in the parks, HBD is an excellent choice. Our meal there in Oct. blowed our meal at FF out of the water.

As much as I would love to stay at AKL (or any of the other deluxes)Swan works for us because of its location and the fact we can use our Stawood points there. I definitely would book an early dinner at Jiko and spend the evening puttering around though... :)

I had heard the Paris restaurant in Epcot was still good, but not as great as it once-since I've never been there...it may not be an issue. I figure I will wait and hear from people who have been there recently.

As for the "trying to be trendy" aspect of Bluezoo...THAT is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for. THANK you! I love a place that is so good...it doesn't have to toot its own horn or be pretentious. Great unique food, warm servers and a nice ambience (if it is too loud I hate spending a lot of money) and I am in. The more I hear about Flying fish...the more I cannot wait to try it.

Thank you all so much! This information is invaluable!

Our last meal at FF was very disappointing, but we've also had great meals there. Hopefully, our experience in Oct was just a fluke, & they were having a bad night. That said, we've never had a quiet meal @ FF. It's a loud restaurant.

Besides V & A. Do any of the restaurants mentioned in this thread prefer you NOT bring children under 10?

Shula's & Bistro don't have a kid's menu. Also, Shula's & bluezoo offer free childcare while you dine. To me, those things say a lot. ;)

After that review, my mouth is watering...Bluezoo just remade the list.

With these 90 day ADRs, my mind is flip flopping like crazy. As of now, we are there seven nights and I think I am leaning towards:

Bluezoo on a resort day
California Grill
Jiko
Il Mulino or Kimonos...I figure that will be a last minute decision
Upstairs Bistro de Paris
Hollywood Derby for Fantasmic package
Either Flying Fish or...Artist Point

We are also planning the following breakfasts:

One at the Poly for Tonga toast
A character breakfast at Crystal Palace

Are there any other can't miss places for breakfast?

Thanks again for everyone's help!!!!

My top choice is California Grill, but DEFINITELY do Artist Point. Atmosphere is more quiet and romantic than Flying Fish, and food is fantastic. It's our second favorite Disney restaurant (we prefer CG).

This appetizer salad had strawberries, strawberry dressing, and little pieces of chocolate dust - it was a creative (and fantastic) salad!

This salad had bacon, poached egg, caramelized onion, and mustard dressing. Again, it was a great salad.

Seared boar with huckleberry sauce and mushroom bread pudding - I loved this appetizer, especially the bread pudding.

Duck confit with a little bit of duck prosciutto and pear - this was the best duck dish I've ever had.

Buffalo tenderloin with sweet potato and caramelized onions - this was a fantastic dish

Crispy roast chicken breast with root vegetable and green beans - the chicken was wonderfully cooked.

This peachy dessert was really nice when we had it back in August

My favorite part of Artist Point, I hope it never changes: the berry cobbler! It's the perfect way to end a meal: sweet, light, simple, and fresh.

You won't be sorry you chose BlueZoo.:thumbsup2

I've never been to Artist Point but I have been to Flying Fish 3 times in the past two years and it was excellent every time. We thought their calamari was the best we've ever had anywhere, the mussels are amazing as well as the scallops and the potato wrapped snapper. If you love seafood you really can't go wrong there. The atmosphere at the Boardwalk just can't be beat.:goodvibes

We love breakfast at BOMA, the carved meats are to die for!

Top five restaurants for dinner on a honeymoon (excluding V&A) ...

1) Bistro Paris (Epcot)
2) Blue Zoo
3) Citricos
4) Jiko
5) Wolfgang Puck's Grand Dining Room (second level of his dining emporium at Downtown Disney's West Side).

All excellent restaurants ... we'd go back to every one of these places.

Happy Honeymoon to you! :goodvibes

BTW ... I have reviews written and posted for all of these restaurants except for Citricos - haven't quite made it to that one yet, but I'm getting close. If you'd like me to link to them for you I'd be happy to do so, just let me know.
