Because of a medical issue and new medication that causes weight gain, a person who once could and has always used the bed over the couch is just over the weight limit now.
We will be in a handicap room, so we have the space. Will it be a problem if we take the mattress off the bed frame and use it on the floor?
Can we tell the room host?
The cruise is too close and the price for a second room is over budget. The 5 person handicap rooms are gone or does not exist on the Magic. Might be able to upgrade to concierge at the port for less money than 2nd room but I’m assuming that’s going to be too high as well. I found there’s 2 handicap concierge rooms still 8600 & 8602. We are about 3 weeks out.

Doesn’t the couch turn into a bed?
Yes but from what I see in videos our current room 6154 has a standard couch/single bed. The second bed is a fold down over the couch.

Concierge might have a couch that turns into a double bed. Which is doable for two adults. Right now 8600 and 8602 are available.

I've had the stateroom attendant make up a bed on the floor in a regular statement for me before (kids too young/scared to use the top bunk), so I don't see any reason that they couldn't do so for you in a larger HA room.
