Top 5 restaurants...

These are our favorites: California Grill, Brown Derby, Il Mulino, Le Cellier, Jiko, Yak & Yeti, in no particular order.

1) Citricos - good food, nice atmosphere, we enjoy this one for a parents' night out

2) Boma - Butternut Squash Soup! We have been known to drive from Tampa just to go to Boma when we are visiting family

3) Grand Floridian Cafe - I have always liked the atmosphere here. It is nice for a break away from the parks, even without reservations. The food has been consistently good.

4) Kona Cafe - Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes and the Kona press coffee. This is my favorite breakfast and the best coffee on property.

5) Garden Grill - we have had good food and wonderful character interaction here. I also like not having to do the buffet dash - i.e., not having to run to the buffet with children in between the character visits.

narcoose's (great apps and desserts, and a correctly prepared lobster), california grill (above average food with great views), via napoli (very authentic neapolitan pizza), yak & yeti (not the best i ever had, but above-average pan asian)..... And i suspect i'll add artist's point to the list after i actually eat there. (based on the reviews i've read, and the menu really matches my tastes).
I'm sure victoria's and albert's would make the list if i ever ate there. As well as several other signatures.
don't know how i forgot narcoose's. We saw wishes from our seats and they turn down the light and pipe in the music. Same as california grill

1) Sanaa in AK. Best meal we had hands
2) Ohana, the dumpling were mouth watering
3) Rainforest Cafe. It's a fun place to dine and the salad we had was delicious
4) Sci Fi..fun fun fun
5) Beaches and cream, great atmosphere, great food and outstanding service.

We didn't do any character dinings, except for Cinderella's. I'm not big on buffets :rolleyes1 and our daughter is 13, so she wasn't fussed to dine with Characters.
I also need to mention The Grande Floridian Cafe. It was a lovely dinner there too.

So many choices, so little time :lmao:..I have to say we enjoyed everywhere we ate. Some places were better than others, but who cares, it's what you make of it...:goodvibes

1)Kona Cafe
great food, great service every time, equally delicious at breakfast lunch OR dinner!
2)Yaki & Yeti
my favorite appetizers in all the parks, great atmosphere, great menu
3)Le Cellier;
I'm not a steak snob, which is probably why despite everyone saying the quality's gone down it still tastes delicious to me each time; as a lover of all things mushroom, the filet is still my favorite entree in WDW!
4)Boma
as someone who hates buffets, Boma amazes me; great variety, fresh, exciting, and delicious!
5)Sci-Fi
simple yet perfect, relaxing away from the heat with a delicious shake while watching those cheesy clips for the 200th time just somehow makes me feel at home :lovestruc

I took service, atmosphere, and fun into account, which is why some of the finer restaurants we've eaten at (like CG and HBD) will likely never be on this list. These five are the restaurants we keep on going back to and never tire of them!

This is a difficult question as there are so many restaurants at Disney that I enjoy. In no particular order...

Via Napoli - I've made two trips to Italy in less than two years and every time I dine here it reminds me of being in Italy. The quattro formaggi pizza is just like what I had there. It's so good! I haven't been able to find a pizza so close anywhere else.

Raglan Road - In all the times I've dined here I've never once had a bad meal. The food is always excellent, very attentive service, great entertainment and the atmosphere makes you want to stay, talk and have another beer. One of my favorite dishes at WDW is served here - It's Not Bleedin' Chowder.

La Hacienda de San Angel - The food here is not what people think of as Mexican - enchiladas, burritos, etc. They serve some great food that is very similar to what I've had in Puerto Vallerta and other places in Mexico. They have some outstanding margaritas! The Orange Mango Fire's my favorite. The atmosphere is beautiful and the restaurant isn't loud. I think it's the best location to watch IllumiNations, especially if you have a seat by the window. The music is even pumped into the restaurant for you to have an even better experience.

Narcoossee's - The food is amazing and service is one of the best at WDW. The Almond-crusted cheesecake is the best dessert on property! And I'm not a big fan of cheesecake. Since the restaurant sits on the Seven Seas Lagoon you have a fantastic view of Wishes. There is even a wrap around porch that you can step out onto to watch. It's one of the most romantic restaurants at Disney.

Victoria & Albert's - I don't feel this one even needs to be explained, as a 5 diamond restaurant it should tell all. All I can say is that this is THE most romantic restaurant at WDW. The food is phenomenal, and superb service (you'll never ask for a single thing and they are incredibly knowledgeable). Overall, amazing! It's absolutely worth saving up for it you are celebrating a special occasion like engagement, honeymoon or anniversary.

Notable mentions - Il Mulino and Flying Fish. I've dined at both multiple times and will return again.

Not in order...

California Grill... the steak & potatoes are amazing. The sunset was too.

Le Cellier... loved the atmosphere & food.

Whispering Canyon Cafe... The whole meal was excellent. Not a fan of the "shenanigans" that come with this place, but can live with them. I hope they never get rid of the BBQ pork rolls.

Trail's End Buffet... Very good food for a buffet. Not a bad price, either.

Flame Tree BBQ... I know, it's counter service. The chicken is outstanding though.

1. Ohana-breakfast/dinner

2. Boma-breakfast/dinner

Great thread!

1. Victoria and Albert's -- worth every single penny.
2. California Grille -- great food, great view, great service, great vibe.
3. San Angel Inn -- I love that I feel like I've escaped into a secret, peaceful world. Good food and 'ritas, too.
4. Sci Fi -- the atmosphere makes this one. Hubby and I can snuggle up in one of the cars, eat junk food and get fun cocktails while the kids are enthralled by the B-movie clips. It's the only park lunch that feels like a date.
5. Via Napoli -- what's not to love about really excellent pizza?

Excluding V&A

Disney owned:
1. Jiko
2. California Grill
3. Artist Point
4. San Angel Inn
5. Flying Fish

Overall:
1. Il Mulino
2. Bluezoo
3. Bistro de Paris
4. Shula's
5. Jiko
