I'm a wdw planner, so it hurts my brain to not make dining reservations. With Toothsome being so new, should I make reservations? How long is the wait time currently?
Planning to go the night of the 26th, but I'm not sure if we will be in the park till close or not. I'm hesitant to choose a time for dinner since this is our 1st time to US in a really long time.
Help?

Toothsome aren't taking reservations yet.

Queue for dinner was 2 hours twice when we went in to check in September.......we passed and ended up going for lunch.

You really don't need to make reservations at Universal, unless it's a Saturday night possibly, and holidays.

We've never made a reservation in all our visits, it's nothing like wdw thankfully.

Sorry to jump in, but I was wondering about the same thing. We want to try Toothsome, but I read they don't take reservations. Besides going to HHN last year, it has been a while since I have been to US, and I have never been to IofA. We are planning on going next summer while we are at Disney. I am used to planning for Disney, and our day/days- I am now wondering if we need two days instead of one- at US are stumping me.

We were at Universal two weeks ago and had dinner at Toothsome twice. Both nights there were waits of around 1-2 hours. We went and put our names in about an hour before we wanted to eat. They take your phone number
and text when your table is ready. We went to the parks and got a few rides in and when we got the text hustled over there in about 10 minutes and we were seated right away. The food was delicious and the desserts even better!

If you plan to go in summer count on two days

Parks during the summer are crowded

I think that's what may do. It is my son's first time ever at US, and a first for us all at IofA. I am afraid we will have rush through the parks, so I am thinking two base tickets now, with an express pass for both.

I ate there on a Friday night in late September (with a party of 5) and only had a 45 min wait for dinner. Wasn't bad at all. We checked out the shop and got drinks at the bar while we waited.

Does anyone know if you can call up a few hours before dining to put your name on the list? I'd like to stay in the park and just give them a call an hour before closing to start the clock ticking.

See my post above. They do not take call ahead reservations, you have to put your name in
in person.

At the moment they won`t take reservations or priority seating for onsite guests.
