Had my temporary crown put in. No Novocain.
Its a bit stressful with all the grinding and such, but all seems good.
I did want to point out to really watch your bills from all this.
It can be difficult as things are not always clear on an EOB or on the statement from the dentist.
I was over charged almost $500 because they made a mistake when entering the write off.
They entered 126 instead of 621.
Had I not gone back and looked at the EOB from a few moths ago and then spoke to another dentist I would never have know that the allowable charge is the most they can charge you - they have to write off the difference as part of being in network. Its not really clear and it only shows up on the EOB and there are several exceptions to the write off.
If you just look at your bill from the dentist it all looks correct.
I had asked them when I went into the office to pay them, and they insisted it was all correct, and if it was not it would get adjusted and credit.
When I called them they insisted it was all correct.
They then had to do research and call me back.
They finally admitted the mistake and will send me a check - had I not found this it would not have been fixed later.
I am amazed that it is still manually entry in this day and age.
Anyway - my point is watch it closely.
