Toontown opening day— Any thoughts on how busy it will be?

We're going to be in the parks on March 8, when Toontown reopens. I figure it will either make the whole park busy, OR the rest of the park will be a little better since so many people will be in Toontown.

What do you think? Any guesses on how Toontown opening will effect Disneyland that day?

I’d guess it wouldn’t be to different than any other Wednesday at this time.

There will be an increase in people visiting to see the new Toontown, but my guess is that a lot of those day-one people will be local, and won’t necessarily stick around to do much else after they’ve checked out Toontown.

So, you may see an increase of people at the gate first thing in the morning, and I’d expect Roger Rabbit and Gadget Coaster will be busy, (and MMRR will be at least as busy as it currently is), but I don’t think it’s going to have a major effect on any of the non-Toontown attractions.

I doubt many people other than Vloggers are going to go specifically for the reopening of toontown (without a new ride). Rope drop will be full of Vloggers trying to be first. Beyond that, I doubt it will make much difference outside of toontown and the small world area.

It might make DCA a bit quieter in the morning as more people opt for DL as their first park?

I would imagine so, now that MMRR is over there.

I am going specifically for the reopening of Toontown and I promise I’m not a vlogger

I feel like it will be a mess of vloggers and social media people but oh well, my toddler is SUPER pumped for Toontown! We are prepared that it might be a little crazy.

The whole land isn't open yet, just that ride. There are still walls up blocking the rest of the land.

We will be there from about 9am to 1pm. Toontown is our only goal. I was chatting with a CM last week and he said they haven’t been told how the land reopening will work yet, but that they might limit capacity a bit and we might need to wait in a line similar to the Avengers Campus opening.

How disappointing. Guess we won't be able to see it but at least I can try Runaway Railway.
