We used DVC to book 9 days at DL California, bought 8 days of tickets through Disney Travel, and have inquired about TTMM, we were origionally told that it may be possible to attend this event, but now no one can tell me if it is or how, the answer I got today was cancel DVC reservations and pay for a package through Disney. I thought I did pay when we bought DVC, but apparently while @ WDW, DVC menbers can participate in EMH, this is noy the case at Disneyland. I have called DL (general number), DL hotel, mt rep at DVC, emailed from the DVC site, does anyone have any idea who to call about this???

Hmmmm... I'm interested in the answer to this, too. I have used DVC to book 4 nights at the Grand Californian next August and I thought what I read was that hotel guests have access to the Disneyland equivalent of EMH. I didn't buy our tickets yet as I don't know if there are benefits to buying them from Disney vs. AAA vs. other sources.

There is a difference between Early entry at DL and the Toontown morning madness. Since you reference both I'm not quite certain which one you are really interested in, but can say that by staying at one of the hotels you get access to early entry. Also, as far as I know multi day park hopper tickets allow one early entry so it's not just Disney resort hotel guests that can enter early. I was able to do early entry in May when I stayed at GCV on points. I did have a park hopper as well, but showed my hotel identification to the CM instead for my "qualification". Early entry gives you access to certain attractions one hour before the park opens, just like WDW.

The Toontown morning madness is a separate event and AFAIK you do have to purchase a hotel/ticket package in order to get that. That gives you acces to Toontown right at park opening, whereas that area normally opens one hour after park opening. I guess it might compare to not receiving free dining at WDW when you stay on points.

As KAT4DISNEY said, there is a difference between Early Entry and TTMM.

Magic Mornings = Early Entry at DL. They take place on Sat., Sun., Tue. and Thu., always in Disneyland (Magic Kingdom) not in California Adventure. All guests staying at one of the three Disneyland hotels can take advantage of any Magic Mornings during their stay. Guests with multi-day passes also get access to a certain number of Magic Mornings with their tickets.

The following rides are open during Magic Mornings:
  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
  • King Arthur Carrousel
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds
  • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
  • Monorail
  • Peter Pan's Flight
  • Pinocchio's Daring Journey
  • Snow White's Scary Adventures
  • Space Mountain
Toontown Morning Madness is a completely different event. It allows guests access to Toontown one hour before it opens. There is a Toontown Citizenship ceremony and lots of characters around, but that's it. TTMM takes place on Mon., Wed., Fri. & Sat. and is only available to those who purchase a package through WDTC. Guests staying on DVC points are not eligible for the TTMM event.
