Toon Town

Does Toon Town open the same time as the rest of the park? I have older kids but will be traveling with my 4 year old nephew on this trip. It seems that they had different hours in the past.

Toontown typically opens with the rest of the park, but it closes early (before fireworks and often does not re-open afterwards).

When I was there in early January toon town always had a late opening... I'm not sure if it was for a particular reason or not... But i remember wanting to go to roger rabbit or Minnie's house and having to come back in like at noon or so...

Now that you mention it, I checked on Disneyland.com and it looks like Toontown is opening one hour after the park opens. Disneyland.com shows an opening time of 9:00 am for Roger Rabbit's cartoon spin, while the rest of the park opens at 8:00 am.

Toontown has always opened 1 hour after regular park opening. Well maybe not always but for years anyway.

They do a rope drop for it. A couple characters, Minnie and Goofy seem common, will come out and chat with the kids a few minutes prior. Then when the land opens they will escort them into the land.

There will be a sign at the entrance, just before the tunnel, stating what time the land will be closing. It will not reopen. Oh and closing really does mean closing. So if it says closing at 8:30, they will shut down ride lines earlier to get guests through and outta the land not much after the posted time.

When i have been in the past it has opened 1 hour later than park opening. We would always go then and let my DD ride the coaster 5 times then leave toon town before it got too busy.
