We had a great time, but his favorite activities were the playgrounds and the pool! He liked the rides ok, but overall was much more interested in the dancing fountains. He never wanted to go the the character meet and greets, but really loved Chef Mickey's. I was glad we went with my parents and extended family, so that my DH and I could leave our son with them for a few hours and ride some adult rides.
I really reccommend going early, because right after park opening there were next to no lines, then going back to the hotel for a break and swim.
Also we used Kids Nite Out one night, and had a wonderful experience. I would encourage anyone to use their service. Our sitter came fully prepared with age approp. toys, and my son really enjoyed a night playing with play dough and building forts.
one odd note.. my son turned 3 on our trip, and chef mickeys was to celabrate his b-day. At the time of check out our server told us we had to pay the child cost for his meal! Because he had turned 3 that day, he was no longer eligable for the free "2 and under meal". On top of that they did nothing to celebrate his birthday. I was annoyed at the very "un disney" feel of the moment.

). I wonder if this has changed or if the CM was just uninformed. I do not think the OP was trying in any way to be dishonest.
. It's really neat to me how every trip is different. There's so much for everyone, and what she likes the most has changed each year. She's 6 now, and while she still liked meeting characters this year, she also liked looking at the maps and deciding which attractions she wanted to go to. I think our next trip will include much less character time. Our non-Disney friends don't understand how we could take the same vacation each year, but it's really never the same.
