Took DH to CVS today to show him how it's done!

He did not believe the deals that I was telling him about so today I made him go with me. He was so impressed that we got 2 tubes of toothpaste, 1 bottle of shower gel, one bottle of nail polish and 2 Oral B powered toothbrushes and we only spent $3.57 out of pocket and even left with $6 ECB!!

After that we went to Rite-Aid where I was able to get 4 Nivea lip balms for FREE!!

I am pretty sure that I made a believer out of him!

My DH believes in my super-couponing (I've been at it the entire 15 years we've been together), but you-know-where would freeze over before he'd come with me and see how it's done He's so not interested!

Can you explin how you do it? I don't have a Rite Aide nearby but do have both a Walgreens and a CVS.

i wish i really knew how to work CVS, but my newspaper carrier doesn't even put their circulars in my paper anymore, i have to look them up online, and i forget to check them most of the time.

Had a similar experience with my DH yesterday. We had errands to run and I needed to stop at Kroger to pick up some last minute sale items. The cashier announced, real loud, that I had saved($61.22) more than I spent($42.84). All the people in line behind me were oohhing and aahhing. It was kinda funny because I didn't think my savings were all that great.Anyway, when we got out to the parking lot, DH kept asking me all kinds of questions about how I saved sooo much money. He even told me he's gonna call his Mom and brag about my savings. The funny thing is, he has been on a couple of shopping trips where my savings were higher and he never said a thing. But once someone else commented on my savings prowess he got excited and wanted to brag on me.

My DH no longer questions me on my couponing. He used to always say he would wait in the "get away car" while I shopped. He thought I was doing something wrong. But, he's learned to "trust me". He now shops with me when there's super good deals. We get 2 carts and we each have our coupons. He's a trooper. He brags all the time about what I save. He has even brought my receipts to work to show off.

I don't ever take my DH with me! He has no patience to match up deals and coupons. He does appreciate the extra money I save but he wouldn't be seen in public with me and my coupon envelope! My daughter on the other hand loves to see me save money!
