Can someone tell me what is a "onesies" ??? :p

You're serious??

It's like a t-shirt that covers the diaper, but has no legs-just short sleeves.

The John Lennon stuff is very reasonably priced.

I won't tell you what we just spent on DD's custom bedding . . .

My friend had a baby 2 years ago and had the same john lennon collection on her registry. She recieved it all.I got her a few of the Items from the collection.

Castlegazer - those gifts are insane!! OMG!

Annette - that lamp is a bargain ;) lol! I love the poshtots website, I like looking at it to find the most outrageous stuff! Actually, they have some cute ideas that most people could duplicate themselves at a much more reasonable price.

Hahahaha, I totally know - and believe me I completly agree with you, but I have a friend who truly registered for a lot of their stuff. I actually am still on their web site doing exactly this - I am looking at their $3,500 teepee bed set and jotting down to memory how they did it to try and replicate it for my son in a few years - although, I don't think boys play cowboy anymore very much, but I can make it into something different, I just loved the design of the bed.

OK, OK, stop the flames!:p I didn't know that the John Lennon wasn't trendy. I swear.

It's just, well, OK, I'll be blunt. This particular couple IS pretty trendy. No, they are VERY trendy. And as soon as I saw "John Lennon" on the lamp, I thought I was diving into some seriously trendy waters.

Please oh Gods of the DIS, forgive me for I have sinned.:p ;)

I don't think the John Lennon stuff is trendy either.

not a flame at all. I was laughing because my son Andrew is currently wearing a sleeper with John Lennons Imagine on it. Its a handmedown from his 2.5 year old brother. The stuff has been around at least 3 years...I remember looking at a set when I had Daniel. I ended up choosing a PBK one instead...hey, be thankful they didn't register there like I did! :)

a onesie is like a t-shirt for babies, but it snaps between the legs. normally are worn under other outfits, but occasionally dressier (?) ones are worn on hot days alone.

Aha! We call it a babygro!!! Thanks mtemm. :)

If there was ANYTHING "classic pooh" at the FOUR stores this girl registered at...it was on her registry.

And what's wrong with Classic Pooh? :p I think it's adorable (which is why we ended up doing DS's nursery in "Pooh Bear Yellow" with a Classic Pooh with Honeypots border and have Classic Pooh bedding.:smooth: )

Thank you. And John Lennon (or at least Yoko Ono) thanks you too.::yes:: :teeth:

I do think it is ugly though.

:jester:

So the Carter's "John Lennon" collection is by *the* John Lennon???? I thought it was just some random artist that drew the animals...not *the* John Lennon! (see how trendy I am??? :p )

So, did he actually draw these animals, or is his estate just making another dime off his name???

DSis had the Lennon collection for her DD. If I remember the story right, John used to tell his son stories and fables when he was little, and doodle little animal drawings to keep him entertain. They took the doodles and created the collection.

I wouldn't exactly call the John Lennon collection "trendy", it has been around since DS6 was a baby. I really liked all the illustrations, it showed what a creative artist Lennon was, too. Let's face it, does a baby know the difference between JL's crazy drawing of an elephant and Mickey Mouse? NO. The person who decides it is going in the baby's room is who likes it. The kid could care less.

And some of the "old classic" stuff makes me want to gag. I won't name any so I won't hurt anyones' feelings, but we all have some designs that we hate.

Has anyone bought his book of silly illustrations that he and Sean did when Sean was a child? It's called "Real Love", and it is a wonderful book, by a wonderfully talented man...

Geesh I must be living in space up here in Canada as I've never heard of the John Lennon collection for babies.

It looks lovely though and maybe when I go to WDW this November I'll take a look at this stuff for our new grandbaby that's due in a couple of months.:teeth:

Is this stuff pretty pricey?

Just be glad that they did not register for this!
