Too suggestive for little girls

At an international dance contest in LA, a group of 8 year olds performed a routine to Beyounce's song "single ladies". They were dressed in what is described as "lacy lingerie".

So is this a bit much for little girls? Does it matter that it is dancing? some suggest that if this was a movie where a man had his daughter doing this, we would consider it child porn.

When the original thread was first posted I was at work and could not view the video. By the time I got home a couple of hours later it was up to several pages. I knew then that it was one to keep away from.

It's sad but i guess the younger generation is growing
up faster than we think or would like them too. Damn

I'm the creator of that 45 page thread from a few months. Thank you Thank you Anyway, I did check out this interview after you posted it. Sadly, those parents are correct that this attire is common at dance competitions. But I still wouldn't allow my kid. These girls are spectacular dancers however.

All I can say is, this is why my girls dance at a Christian studio, where the costumes are modest and the songs, while not all are Christian music, are age-appropriate.

Do you know if there's a clip online or something? All scandal aside, I thought the girls were amazing dancers for their age. I'd like to see the try out.

LOL my mom put me in a bikini as an infant in the 1960's. She has tons of pics of me at the jersey shore in my infant bikini LMBO!!!
So I guess it was back then too not just now

I was (and still am) pretty fuddy-duddyish about what my now 11 yo DD wore/wears. But, I did put her in bikinis when she was in diapers. It made the whole diaper change process SO much easier.
