Rigth now I am 24 and my friend is 23. I am wanting to go to disney so badly, her too but not as much (mostly b/c it would mean she need to get a job) I am just thinking what is there todo for us. We are not fans of clubing. I think we pretty have stay on site since we both don't drive. I hope you great people can help me out.

You are NEVER too old for Disney. My DH is 55 (almost) and i just turned 50 and we go every year--and celebrated my 50th while at Disney. We ride all the rides, go to all the shows and love Epcot and World Showcase visiting the countries, watching the films, etc. Staying onsite is a great option because it gives you the option of going into the parks earlier than everyone else and also the option of staying later at certain parks. Enjoy...you will have a magical time.

read hubby's trip report about 2 empty nesters at disney. we haave been 2X with our kids, and now wwe have gone 10X(I think) by ourselves. we have SO MUCH FUN! take the segway tour in world showcase. rent sea sprites on bay lake. enjoy the worldshowcase restaurants. etc etc

There's TONS to do! DH and I were about your age when we went for our honeymoon. It took a lot of convincing to get him to agree to it. But we've been back every year since! If you like food and wine, you'll love Epcot's World Showcase. The Disney spas are awesome. And, I'm sure you'll find that a lot of things at WDW appeal to everyone, not just kids.

You're never too old! DH was almost 40 before his first trip. We've been several times/year for many years! You'll love it.

Yep, everyone is saying the same thing and I have to agree. I went for the VERY first time in Sept 07' and I thought I was a little girl again.
I am 42 and have never been. There is SO much to do there and never see it all. That is why so many DIS lovers go year after year... My DH didn't want to do it 2 yrs in a row... after last years trip he immediately said, "I can't wait to go again... NEXT YEAR 08'!

I will tell you even though your friend would have to get a job... she then could use her income tax to help pay for it. :)

My DH, our DD, and me went this past Sept but I also have a grown 18 yr old son... well he didn't work and didn't want to get a job... thus he didnt' go.
I called him everyday telling him what a wonderful time we were having and I hoped he could join us with his GF in 2008.

Guess what.... he is working now. :)

Hope you get to go.. or go with different friends. You will have the time of your life! I promise!

No you are not too old at all...the first time I went was on my honeymoon when both DH & I were 23, we don't do the club thing either. He had been for 1 day when he was a teenager so it was really his first time too. We loved it! I say if there is any way possible go.

Never to old for Disney!!! My IL's are in their mid 60's and act like kids when they're there. This 38 year old does too!

My dh and I are 51 and we love disney. You are never too old! Go and have a magical time.

39 and counting here. Still not too old. You are NEVER too old to do what makes you happy (as long as it is legal and moral of course. :goodvibes )

Two mid-forties empty-nesters here. We go to WDW almost every year. It's our favorite vacation destination. We plan to continue as long as the Good Lord allows! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I'm 49 and SO excited about our trip next August. I haven't been there since 1990, and never with my kids. My best friend is there NOW (the rat!) with her daughters, ages 19, 19 and 23. My first trip there was in 1976, right after high school graduation, with 2 of my friends.

But let's switch the focus a little and tell you some of the things you can do.

Well, for starters, of course, there are the parks. Go up to the "theme parks" tab and take a look.

But there's a lot more than that. Take a look at some of the restaurants. Some are amazing. In Epcot, you can taste cuisine from all over the world. (If your friend doesn't have a job yet, I'm guessing she hasn't been to Europe. This is NOT the same thing. But it may inspire your next big vacation)

Sports? Take a look at the health clubs at some of the deluxes. And some of the sporting options. You can go parasailing at the Contemporary. Read up on what else is there (with 3 small kids, this hasn't been a big focus for us.)

Take a look at some of the tours you can take. You'll be amazed.

Spend a little time here and at www.allears.com Look and see what's available. You'll have no problem convincing your friend!

we are going back to WDW for th sixth time and I am 49 years old. You are NEVER to old for WDW

I'm thirty two! I went for the first time with my kids this past year. There were so many things I wanted to do that would not excite my kids. I dream of an adult girls trip... I say go for it!

No one is too old for Disney! I will never, ever, ever be too old for Disney! :goodvibes :goodvibes

OK - I'll admit it - I'm 61. BUT - I am NOT too old for Disney! :)

I am working on her, she wants to go but wants her mom and me to pay. *rolls eyes* i am pretty much set to go. even if have find someone eles to go witn.

Well, what can I say, me and DBF are on our way there in April and we're 24 and 23 when we arrive. I have to say, I don't think we're too old at all. DBF's never been, from what I gather, he's excited and already planning to go BACK!! :lmao:

I've been three times previous and I just know that when I walk through that 'Welcome' sign, I'll be right back there in my childhood...I totally cannot wait to feel that magic again! It's going to be awsome!!

My Mum and Dad are also Disney-mad, they went to the World for the first time when they were both 35...and are aching to get back there! 2010 they're hoping for...and I'm sure I'll be with them there too ;)

Disney has something for everyone even those who don't care for thrill rides.
I suggest you find other "adult" friends to go with as the friend you are describing needs to grow up. :teacher:

Words of wisdom indeed.

Why on EARTH would she expect YOU to pay HER way????

Tell her when you're planning to go, tell her when you're making reservations, and give her a deadline to come up with the deposit. Do NOT pay her way. If she's old enough to go on a vacation without mommy and daddy, she's old enough to pay her own way.

Otherwise, be sure to get her address and send her a nice postcard.
