Too old for character dining?

My BF and I (both 23) are going in July and are doing CRT dinner (HE insisted!). Everyone I tell is soooooooooo envious. So no, not too old!

I was 35 when i went to my first character meal. It was crystal palace. I will never forget that experience - especially since my favorite character as a child was winnie the pooh. My daughter and niece were with me at the time but i enjoyed it as much as they did. Sometimes i think the characters can see the excitement on your face and regardless of your age will interact with:wave2: you.

I'm 20 and my husband is 24 (an average of 22...haha) and we did a character meal last summer and we're going to do it again in a week. It's totally fun and no one even notices that we're older than 8...haha. I'd totally do it if thats what you want...it's disney world, you're never going to see any of these people again (so act a fool!)

My husband secretly enjoys the character meals the most. You should see that cute old gray haired guy at the Crystal Palace. He'll be the one up at the buffet who charges (carefully, mind the children!) back to our table when he sees his fav, Eeyore, heading our way wanting his picture taken.

Isn't that what disney is for? to connect with your inner child :rotfl:

I'm a guy (24)...and not afraid to admit that I enjoy character dining. Donald's Safari Breakfast & dinner (with cinderella and the stepsisters) at 1900 Park Fare are my favorite.

Your not too old. The Character Dining is great fun. Even if you are not into the characters, it's a lot of fun to see the families get excited popcorn::. Plus the Characters are fun when they stop by and say hello to you.

I've been looking through the site alot, because i wanted to go and since you have 6yr old daughter another fairytale like place would be Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and two really fun places that i've seen are 50s-prime-time-cafe and sc-fi dine, in sc-fi dine in its like a old fashioned car with tables on the dashboard and backseats. :) enjoy your trip.

Me & my DH are in our 30s and we did 3 character breakfasts this time: Crystal Palace, 1900 & Cape May. with the exception of Cape May, the food was good at the other 2 and it was fun taking pictures with the characters.

I just turned 33, and on our trip last year when Mickey came to our table I was practicing hanging a spoon off my nose. IMHO you are never too old to have fun OR enjoy character breakfasts!

My family also has a picture of me from a few years ago when I spotted Rafiki in a park (who is my absolute favorite Disney Character)...I literally have this look of shock and excitement on my face that you would THINK you could only see on a 5 year old.

And FYI - I am actually a (sort of) mature adult...I work a corporate job, and take life pretty seriously when I have to....but Disney is not the time, or the place for that!

Enjoy your trip - that's all that counts!

My brother whose 23 and myself whose 26, along with my mum (53) and dad (57) had about 4 character meals last time we went to WDW, and although my dad and brother only go because me and my mum like them so much, its still a good experience.

DMom and I used to go to WDW every year together, and we always did character meals (I was in my 20's, and she was in her 40's). We had a great time - lots of fun with the characters, and we were not the only adult only tables at the meals.

I treasure the memories of WDW w/ my mom.

Life is short, have fun!

I'm 40 and my hubby is 45 and we aren't 'too old' for character dining! You are NEVER too old for character dining or Disney!!!!

We're the same age, no kids and we love the character dinning. Disney is not just for the young it's for the young at heart. I just posted about the best table service rest. I had ever done and it was at the Crystal Palace for breakfast. My DH had never been to Disney ever. So I wanted to make his first meal memorable so I chose the CP, we was so excited after we got there he made sure none of the characters missed us, and made sure we were at the table when they came by. At first he said it's just a guy in a rat suit, then once they started coming to the table he was like a kid. It was the best part of our trip. You'll love it and it's the best time to get pictures with characters, no waiting in line. Have fun, be a kid again.. :goodvibes

We're doing 5 our next trip.

This'll be my first Disney trip and my friend and I got a reservation for the Princess Dinner at Akershus. We are 22 and 23. Do the characters give the adults attention like the kids? I really want to be a kid and be a huge tourist on my trip, so I'm going to be very enthusiastic. Just hoping they don't like...skip over the adults or anything? I doubt it, but experiences with character interaction!? Please and thanks! :goodvibes

No, they most difinitely will not skip you, in fact, many of the cast memebers like to make sure that you got to see all the characters and nobody missed you. They will definitely interact with you...the more interested you are in them, the more interested they'll be in you. Have your camera out and ready to go...
