I was wondering if this might be too comando for my Oct solo trip.

Arrival Day - Oct 4th - Arrive in Orlando airport at 10:30, go to AS Music, check in, and then try to be at AK by 1:00. Stay at AK until closing 5:00, go to AK Lodge for dinner Boma - 6:30, then go to Epcot after dinner for extra magic hours.

Day 1 - Oct 5th - Breakfast at Fresh - 9:30, spend day at MGM, Fantasmic dinner at Brown Derby - 3:50, stay at MGM until close, DTD that night.

Day 2 - Oct 6th - Breakfast at Crystal Palace - 8:05, tour MK after breakfast until lunch, Tony's Town Square - 12:00, continue touring MK, until about 4:30, then go to Poly for dinner at Ohana - 5:00, then MNSSHP that night.

Day 3 - Oct 7th - Go to Epcot in morning, or sleep in, but be at Epcot for lunch at Akershus - 1:25, tour Epcot all afternoon, then dinner at Le Cellier - 7:50, then DTD that night

Day 4 - Oct 8th - MK morning, lunch at CRT - 12:00, tour MK or Epcot during afternoon, have Party for the Senses that night, could go to DTD afterwards

Day 5 - Oct 9th - AK Day, Breakfastasourus - 10:30, tour AK until lunch at Rainforest Cafe - 2:00, tour AK until close, have dinner at Jiko - 6:30 DTD od Quest that night.

Day 6 - Oct 10th - Sleep in, be at Poly for lunch at Kona - 12:00, tour Epcot, dinner at Marrakesh - 8:00 Extra magic hours that night at Epcot.

Day 7 - Oct 11th - Breakfast at Fresh - 10:30, tour MGM, dinner at Palio - 6:00, MNSSHP that night.

Day 8 - Oct 12th - Breakfast at 1900 PF - 9:45, tour Epcot, lunch / dinner at Coral Reef - 5:00 (but I'm going to switch to an earlier time,) evening at MK, (only chance to see Spectro Magic,) extra magic hours.

Day 9 - Oct 13th - Breakfast at Kona - 10:30 tour MK, dinner at Artist Point -5:30 MNSSHP that night

Oct 14th - Return flight at 3:30

How does that sound? Is it good, or to much?

Sorry, I was being facetious. I guess if you don't want or need down time, it sounds wonderful. Personally, I'd schedule a day or 2 just for resort hopping and riding those cute little SeaRaycer boats, or a Segway tour, or something just to break up the eat/rides/eat/rides cycle. AND, if you're going to be getting up early every day, do you really want to hang out at DTD late at night? Don't know enough about you personally to say whether or not this is overextending yourself, but I'd leave a LITTLE more open space.

There are a couple of days when I would wonder if your dining is going to be too much. Figuring roughly an hour for each meal, Day 2 only gives you 3 hours to digest what is going to be a pretty big meal (buffet) and only 3 /12 hours to digest lunch before it's time for another big meal at Ohana.

Day 5 is the same...only about 3 hours to digest a buffet breakfast before you head for a big lunch (Rainforest Cafe's portions can be huge), then off again 3 1/2 hours latter for dinner (and Jiko's food is way too tempting to stick with a little side salad!).

Your activites don't sound like too much, especially if you are solo.

I think that is pretty much the type of trip I'd probably plan if I were going by myself. However, I think some of your meals might be just a touch too close together time-wise.

You might want to review the days where you have three meal ADR's.

Particularily, look at

The time your meal starts
Estimated time your meal ends

Travel time to get to your next meal location

How much time is there left for: :confused3

between meals... are you really going to be hungry?
is there any time for activities if there are in wait times for rides/shows?

Don't become a slave of your ADR's :hourglass

You might consider a light lunch the day of Ohana's if you want to really enjoy this dining experience. :wave2:

I think it could be done. If you feel yourself getting tired at the end of the day, you could skip one or two of your trips to DTD.

Wow, sounds fun! With that said, I too suggest that pare your dining down to a maximum of two meals each day. By doing that you'll enjoy each meal more and you'll make room to try some of the other treats offered in the parks. It will also afford you more time for the other attractions. Enjoy and let us know what you decide to do!

Holy Cow!! Talk about Commando. Seriously, I'm just jealous. That is how we used to spend our week at WDW. But now with a child, it is a little different.

My only suggestion would be to take it a little easy on day 2 if you plan on doing MNSSHP that night. An 8:05 breakfast at CP would mean you would have to leave your hotel at 7:00, so probably would have to be up around 6:00. Add all day at the park, all that food, and at the MNSSHP until 1:00. That will be quite a long day. If you really want to enjoy MNSSHP, I would take a nap in the early afternoon. But that's just me, and God knows I don't have the stamina I used to.

The only problem I see with this day is getting to AK by 1pm. After landing, grabbing luggage, making your way to AS, check in, settling in the room, etc etc, you might not make it to AK by 1pm.

Day 1 - Oct 5th - Breakfast at Fresh - 9:30, spend day at MGM, Fantasmic dinner at Brown Derby - 3:50, stay at MGM until close, DTD that night.

are you going to have enough time to sleep? You went to DTD last night and now you have to be at CP at 8am. That means getting on the bus by 7am.

Day 3 - Oct 7th - Go to Epcot in morning, or sleep in, but be at Epcot for lunch at Akershus - 1:25, tour Epcot all afternoon, then dinner at Le Cellier - 7:50, then DTD that night

again, another DTD night before then early morning at MK, sounds like you're not going to get much sleep at night

Day 5 - Oct 9th - AK Day, Breakfastasourus - 10:30, tour AK until lunch at Rainforest Cafe - 2:00, tour AK until close, have dinner at Jiko - 6:30 DTD od Quest that night.

Day 9 - Oct 13th - Breakfast at Kona - 10:30 tour MK, dinner at Artist Point -5:30 MNSSHP that night

Oct 14th - Return flight at 3:30

IMHO, you need to build in some break time there. You look like you're going full steam ahead and I'm afraid you'll burn out by day 5

At first I thought it looked like way too much, but then looked closer and saw "solo" and thought...why not? No one else to consider helps the schedule along, right?

IMHO, if you plan everything and then allow yourself to "let go" of anything that just doesn't feel right at the time - then you've left yourself lots of choices and options. 3 ADR's in a day may be a lot, but you always have the choice to skip one or two or all three if your plans change.

I overplan - and then we relax and go with what we want. Do what feels best to you and have a GREAT time!!!!

also - a quick "illegal" aside - Oogieboogie: I think about you every time we've looked through our new Halloween Disney Direct catalog...the oogieboogie candy dish is fantastic!!! You going to get it?? ;)

Still thinking about it. There's so much that I want from that catalog, it kills me each time the Halloween catalog comes around.

Side note... DH wants me to dress up as Sally for MNSSHP! I said, no way... too hot! :rotfl:

Just reading your schedule makes me tired. I looked at your first day and wondered when you were going to unpack at your resort. You might not get into your room until after 4PM and you are going until late that night.

Sometimes we don't even go to DTD, but I don't think I would plan to go more than once. Plus three MNSSHP's is a lot. It's great fun, but I wouldn't choose to go more than once a trip.

I'd only do two big meals a day; maybe a late breakfast and an early dinner. Or an early lunch and a late dinner. Figure an hour for each meal, plus a bit of time before you get seated. If you have an early seating, there is a good chance you will be seated on time or close to it. As the seating times progress into the meal time, you might be delayed a bit, so add some extra time there.

Whatever you choose to do, have a good time.

Both of the days with 3 meals, I'm just considering lunch, and made a PS at Tony's and RC, just to be safe. Tony's I really just want to eat at because I love Lady and the Tramp. :dog: When I go to DTD, I really might just shop. As far as sleep goes I usually only sleep for about six hours.

As for unpacking, I really just live out of my suitcase when I'm on vacation. Going to AK is just convienent since it's close to ASMU and I'm doing Boma for dinner that night.

Any other suggestions?

That is so cool that you are doing a long solo trip! I fantasize about that while I'm being pulled on by my kids or pushing the stroller through fantasyland! :rotfl:

That being said, just expect everything to take longer than you think it will. You won't have to deal with parking, but getting from one place to another can take longer than you expect, depending on crowds. Also, it's just a lot of fun to hang out at the resort, take a dip in the pool, head to the food court at ASMu, etc. We stayed at ASMo and I really just liked spending time there, too.

Have a wonderful time! Let us know how your trip went! :)

This sounds like our 2001 trip when we were on the dining plan. We went for 11 days and by day 5 we were about to burts!! I was so uncomfortable that the thought of food made me want to upchuck. I might rethink some of your sitdowns and trade them maybe for a heavy snack.

My thoughts exactly. I have to leave about 4 hrs at least between those big, sit-down meals. I usually do a late breakfast and an early dinner, if I want to try out those terrific restaurants. But, you may be completely different. Is it safe to assume that you have been before? If so, then you know what you're getting yourself into. If not...well, you may not have enough free time to enjoy those things that are so often overlooked. You will be busy rushing from spot to spot. But, as I said before...if you have been before, you already know what you want to see and do and what you can bypass this trip. I really enjoy eating at the various restuarants, so that is a highlight for me now, rather than just 'doing' the parks. I would suggest skipping the Epcot EMH on your first day though. That could make for a very long day.

I've been to WDW twice before.
