My wife and I have both been playing the DVC online game with our Disney accounts. About 2 weeks ago, we received a call from Disney and they asked if we would like to get a copy of the latest Vacation Club DVD. Thinking they were offering the newest parks vacation planning DVD, my wife answered "yes" since we are currently planning our 2013 trip.

A couple of days later we received the DVC DVD in my wife's name and realized she misunderstood the phone call and they were calling about DVC instead of the parks planning DVD.

The next day I received the same DVD in the mail.

On Christmas Eve we received a FedEx package that contained a book regarding DVC resorts, a points guide, and another DVD.

In the mail on Christmas Eve we received 2 more packages, each with another small informational package and another DVC DVD in each.

I just received a call from FedEx stating that we have an undeliverable package from Disney Development and asked me to correct the address. I'm assuming this is another FedEx package with the book and points chart.

So, in the last week, we have received 5 separate packages, all with a DVC DVD in them, and are expecting another FedEx package today, probably with another.

Anyone else having trouble with geting multiple packages regarding buying DVC? We've been members for over 5 years, I would think their database would have information that we are already members, or at least that we've already received the information.

Our only thought is this is a new marketing campaign. They send mail and FedEx packages until you beg for mercy and agree to an add-on. :)

If you showed an interest, they will try to sell to you while you are interested. I had read a marketing article that said that it takes on average 14 sales attempts until people buy. That's why we see the same commercials, and ads over and over.

If that's true, I only need to get 8 more DVDs before I commit to the add-on. :)

It's really not a problem, it just seems like a waste of materials as the 2 FedEx packages had nice books of all of the DVC resorts. Obviously, being a vacation club owner we already have this information.

Oh well, it's always kind of exciting getting packages from Disney, hopefully the next one will be congratulating us on winning the online game.

I was kind of hoping that it was a pain in the neck for people to do each day and that I was the only one to complete it. Oh well, I guess my odds now are no better than 50/50.:rotfl2:

It reminded me of one board adventure where of the 5 rolls of the die, two were "back one space" two were "lose one turn" and the fifth was a roll of "1". For some reason, I always had a hard time against Scar.:(
