hi. i have a little dilema- we are going to wdw for four days in may, with a two day park hopper pass. on the first day, we would love to spend most of our time at ak, then catch the stars and motor cars parade at mgm (we REALLY want to see this) and then spent the remaining time at epcot, mainly just to eat and watch illuminations. somewhere in there, we need to factor in a break for our son, who will be 21 months at the time. (sorry about the redundancy for those of you who have seen my other posts, i know i give my info over and over... and over :earboy2: ) we dont necesarily have to go back to the hotel, just somewhere to calm down and take a break from all the fuss... my question is basically- how long should it take to have a good time at ak without feeling rushed, and PLEASE give me any tips for making this happen!!! in case anyone wonders, on the second day, we plan on going to mgm in the morning only to see playhouse disney, then take a break at the hotel, and head over to mk for the rest of the day in an attempt to keep it simple, so we cant really do anything else then. (unless someone has any ideas) we've reserved our off days for doing whatever we feel like, no preplanning so we wont be overwhelmed or exhausted. thanks soo much for your help. (and for reading all this  ) by the way, we plan on using the bus/monorails, if that makes a difference...

My children (then ages 4 and 8) park-hopped like this and loved it - in fact, I had planned to stay in one park that day, but they asked to try it and did very well. They did not want to try to see everything, but hit 2-3 top priorities for each park.

Since your little one isn't old enough to be clamoring for the rides, you may be able to pull this off. Go to bed EARLY if possible the night before, then be at AK at park opening. Decide on 2 or so shows that you want to see and tour the park in the meantime. Relax over lunch and head over to MGM for the parade. Return to the hotel and swim or nap until time for Illuminations. I don't know the times of the parade/Illuminations (and the AK showtimes can change weekly) to give you any specifics, but good luck!
