Ok, we are going to Disneyland for 5 days at the end of June. Some days with other friends/family members, some days just me, dh, dd4, & ds2.
We are staying right across the street on Harbor. Each day we will go back for ~2hour nap/rest. We will be there on a Sunday thru Thursday with no magic morning.

Here's the major things we have planned each day, and then a detailed itinerary for Sunday. PLEASE let me know what you think, particularly if you think what I have down for Sunday is too unrealistic. We haven't been to Disney in over 20 years! We WILL be doing a system with using the FP & Child Swap system to our advantage and will be able to get 2 diff fast passes at the same time since it will just be 2-3 of us that will go with the child swap pass. :)

*Sunday - See Below
*Monday - Fantasyland Rides in am, BBB 11am, Ariel's Lunch 1pm, Tangled M&G after nap~4pm (we also thought about going to PFF *just* for the royal coronation & storytelling, but not sure if we can fit that in?)
*Tuesday - Toon Town in am, Minnie's Breakfast 10:30am, BTMRR & Splash (FP & Child Swap), Parade 6:30pm, Tortilla Jo's 7:30pm
*Wednesday - Pixie Hollow, Cove Bar, WOC 9pm (ordered picnics)
*Thursday - Disney Jr. Live show, Aladdin show, Carnation Cafe 12:30pm, Naples 6:15pm
(I don't have a lot of details down for Wednesday & Thursday as far as rides go yet. Our goal is to go on most of the rides, if not just about all. Sunday was my first day to try to schedule out and get input. ;) )

SUNDAY ITINERARY:
7:30am - Line up at Disneyland
8am - Ride Matterhorn (& Buzz Astro Blasters if time allows)
9am - Most everyone line up at Disney California (T- Guest Services to get Characters Schedules and first visit pins & B- Grab Star Tours and Space Mountain Fast Passes)
9:30am - Enter DCA & Grab FP for Soarin Over Calif
10am - Ride Ariel's Little Mermaid ride (J- Run get FP for Grizzly River Run before)
Ride Toy Story Midway Mania
Meet Toy Story Characters across from Toy Story ride
Ride Grizzly River Run (FP & Child Swap)
(*Hopefully watch Pixar Pals show if time: 12pm or 1pm)
(and ride Soarin' if time, if not then squeeze in somewhere later)
~1-3pm - Nap/Rest time back at hotel
After Nap (~3pm) - Find Characters Buzz, Woody, & Jessie (whoever we didn't see earlier)
Ride Star Tours NEW ride (FP & Child Swap)
Ride Space Mountain (FP & Child Swap)
6:30pm - Dinner at Cafe Orleans
Ride ?????
9pm - Find a spot for Fireworks in front of Castle
9:30pm - Fireworks!
After Fireworks - Ride 1 Fantasyland Ride before we head back to the hotel

Any advice/comments is gladly welcomed! Thankfully we are going with friends who are avid Disneyland go-ers, but this is our first time at Disney as a family and things will also work differently because we have our ds who's 2 and can't ride a lot of rides and will require naps. ;) Thanks in advance!

When our youngest DS was 2 he ended up napping in our double jogger - for about 4 hours one day. We just worked around him sleeping and covered the stroller with a very light blanket. We hadn't found DIS yet, so we weren't staying within walking distance. :3dglasses We found we spent a LOT of time in Bug's Land. Our 2 youngest really liked the rides there. They also liked some of the more open rides in Fantasyland. Dumbo was a big favorite and so was Teacups. Alice was a close 3rd and then Peter Pan. Even though Peter Pan is a great ride they were nervous because it was so dark. They did think that Dad's tennis shoes looked really cool since they were white and glowed in the black lighting. They liked Buzz, also, but our youngest had a hard time seeing over the front of the ride vehicle and I didn't know you could turn it! Once I figured out that I could turn it he could see and shoot better.

Make sure on Sunday that you get FP for Star Tours as soon as possible - before you head to DCA. I am sure those FP's will run out very quickly. Never mind - I read over your Sunday schedule too quickly! ;) You already have that planned. :thumbsup2

Most tickets of 3 or more days include one Magic Morning. If you're going for 5 days, your tickets most likely do as well.

I would caution about your BBB appointment being too close to your lunch reservation at Ariel's Grotto on Monday. Last week we sat and waited for over an hour past our appointment time at BBB because they were running so late. If that happens to you it will make it hard to get over to DCA, and if you're late checking in there can be quite a long back-log before you're seated. Good Luck!

:wave2: Annette

P.S. Also good to be aware of - the meet and greets in Fantasyland all post wait times of 60 mintues or more unless you are among the first in line. Stays that way all day too, based on what we observed.

I like the enthusiasm! I was looking at your Sunday itinerary and one thing I noticed is that you are going from Ariel to Toy Story and then back to GRR. Good strategy from the perspective of catching the big rides quickly, but you'll be doing a fair amount of backtracking. If that isn't a concern for you, go for it, but don't underestimate the time it takes to get from one ride to another. You don't want to spend your time moving through the park just to save time waiting in line. Also a good strategy to catch GRR before you go back to the hotel for a nap, just in case you get too wet and want to change. You might want to consider moving TSMM to another day. Since you don't have bugs land on your itinerary, I'm guessing you're planning to make it back to DCA.

Also, while you know your kid better, I'm thinking you should take more time after fireworks to catch some rides. A lot of people do what you are planning to do and if you get that nap in, you should be able to take more time to enjoy the park when the lines are a bit shorter. I also happen to love the park in the evening, when it is cooler and it is so pretty with all the lights. I've seen children sort of "wake up" after fireworks and stay engaged with all the pretty lights. You might be surprised at how long your DS will go.

Yes, I'm confused why you say you dont get any MMs? Are there none scheduled for that week or something? Thats very strange! :confused3

Anyway, I think your schedule looks good! The onyl thing I might change is doing Toontown on a different morning than before your Minnie & Friends breakfast, simply because you would basically be walking to the complete other side of the park, and then back again. But maybe you can hop on the RR and it wont be so bad! :)

Thanks everyone!!! I love hearing The different input! Keep it comin! :)

And no, we do NOT have MM because we have Military tickets. ;)

Anyone else have any other thoughts on my schedule??? Could really use the help! :)
