Here's the cast of characters: Me, DH, DS10, DS10(vegetarian), DS7, Grandma, Grandpa. For everyone but Grandpa, this will be our first time eating at a table service in Disney. Grandpa loves LeCellier. I tried to get LeCellier for our CP dinner package, but could not. We do have a ressie for lunch that was a placeholder. Kiddos want to go to Biergarten pretty badly.

Do you think it would be crazy to eat at LeCellier for lunch and a late dinner at Biergarten? All the kids are hearty eaters. My Dad is willing to cancel LeCellier but I could tell that he really wanted to go when he offered to pay OOP for the additional table service meal.

This is NOT the day that we do CP. We have 2 full days planned in Epcot and one evening of coming back to eat at Tutto Italia and doing CP.

Will this eat up too much park time (pun intended)? Will it be just too excessive?

Thanks for your thoughts!

we do the deluxe and find that as long as we have at least 5-6 hours between meals we can enjoy them without feeling over-stuffed. So if you have lunch scheduled for, say 12:30, don't book dinner before 6:30. One good thing about doing Biergarten for dinner would be you can always take smaller portions if you're not all that hungry. The meal times at a table service give you nice park-breaks without taking a lot of time out of your touring --no "travel time"

Another aspect that you will be fine on, although not directly related to food, is that you are doing your lunch and dinner in the same park. I think people often overlook the fact that it takes a huge chunk of time out of your day when you have to get to another park/resort for your next meal - especially if they are consecutive meals.

If your family have healthy appetites and as Catne pointed out, you space your meals well with a fairly early lunch and a slightly later dinner, you should be fine. Just don't go too wild at breakfast ;)

You will be fine. We've had 2 TS in a day many times. We'll eat lunch between 11 and 12 and dinner after 7. All the walking around in the afternoon and we'll be hungry by evening.

You've gotten a Le Cellier reservation which your Grandfather is looking forward to so definitely keep that one. Likewise, your boys want Biergarten which is a buffet so anyone who is still full from lunch can eat less. Alternatively, Le Cellier has some salads and sandwiches on the lunch menu so it doesn't have to be a heavy lunch.

Thanks for your thoughts. I think this will work out and everyone will be happy with at least one meal that day. Personally, I am looking forward to both! I do agree that with having the buffet last, people can just eat what they want to take and what looks particularly interesting.
