Actually, these words do offend me. It has nothing to do with political correctness, it has to do with my feelings. I can't help the way that I feel, and I feel like it's wrong.

I have just accepted it though and I still use these words. It's not like there are any alternatives that I can think of. Besides, what's the point of fighting a battle that can never be won? Men and Women will never be equal.

I am aware of the masculine and feminine uses in French.

You're okay with that, and that's great. I'm happy for you. It doesn't make you anti-feminist, it makes you accepting, or agreeable- neutral if you will. But not everyone is like that.

I'm only saying that I can't help but feel that things are unfair. It doesn't mean that I want every male on the planet to stop in his tracks and apologize to me or I want masculinity not to dominate in certain latin languages. I just think that some things could do with a little bit of change, to stop these feelings. You just know in your heart when you think something's wrong. And that feeling, is what I'm talking about.
