:scared: Brain in Disney overload.... :faint:

I am going to WDW with a good friend and coworker of mine. I have fallen into the role of "tourguide", which I don't mind, but I'm driving myself mad! I want to show my friend why I love Disney so much, and she really wants to try all sorts of things, but it's becoming too much I think.

The trip is 5/18-5/24.
Wednesday 5/18, dinner @ O'Hana's
Thursday 5/19, Dinner @ Boma
Friday 5/20, Segway tour.
Sunday 5/21, Lunch @ Cindy's (no PS yet, just an idea)
Monday 5/23, Lunch with an Imagineer.

This is what's scheduled so far. We're thinking about doing a tour in MK. KTK comes to mind and so does the new Mickey's Milestones. KTK is 5 hours long and offered everyday, while Mickey's Milestones is shorter (cheaper, too) but only offered Mon, Wed, and Fri.

I could do KTK on Saturday and move Fantasmic! to Sunday. If I wanted to do Mickey's Milstones, I would either have to move the Segway tour, or do the MM tour on Monday 5/23 before luch at MGM.

:scared1:

I'm thinking I should 86 the idea of a MK tour and go with what I have (with my other meal PS's). Input would be greatly appreciated! I need to be talked down from my tour-itis!

If this is your friends first trip or first trip in a long time, I'd get rid of the MK tour. I mean there is so much to already see and do. I think the tours are really great, especially for those of us that have been so many time. The worst thing is planning too much and overwhelming the other person.

We're going to be having dinner on May 18th at Ohana's too! It will be my sister's rehearsal dinner. What time will you guys be there? I think our ps is for 5:30, followed by a Wishes cruise.

How cool! Our PS's are for 6:50, but we'll arrive early and hope for the best. What a great place to have a rehearsal dinner!

Kilee, I think your're right. The Segway tour and Imagineer Lunch are enough, I just needed to hear it from someone else!

We generally limit the tours to 1 per trip, and we've been there many times before! It just gets to be too hectic if you try to plan in more. ::MinnieMo

Hi! Sorry to piggy-back on your post, but I was wondering where I could find some info about the lunch with an Imagineer. That sounds like a lot of fun! :cool1:

Thanks,

Rachel :wave2:

I took my parents last year for the first time. It was our third. My biggest mistake was that I wanted to show them the world and make it exciting. But, I made too many plans. If I had to do it again, I'd pick a few of my favorite meals, plans the parks, and go from there. There is so much to see for a first timer. Just seeing them enjoy the stuff for the first time makes it new and exciting. So, I'd not do any tours at all. They need time to enjoy the magic of what is there for everyone to see first.

That makes a lot of sense Madi, but we can't resist the Segway tour! Everything else falls into the "food" category. And for me PS's are not set in stone, "they're more like guidelines, anyway" pirate:

LadyLuc361, check out www.allearsnet.com for more info about the lunch (or dinner) with an imagineer. It's at the Brown Derby in MGM, is only offered on certain days of the week, and you get a special souvenier. That's all I can remember - oh, and it's a 30 day PS for that.

I totally agree about dropping the MK tour. I have heard the Imagineer lunch is wonderful and that should WOW! her and without the MK tour, give the two of you time to enjoy the park. A five hour tour seems a bit much for a first timer. Plan that one for next time! :flower:
