Okay, I may have one of the most confusing resort opinion questions ever!

We have decided to go in December for the Christmas party and there are many choices available. Normally, I know exactly where I want to stay, but this time I can't decide. Some of the resorts we don't normally stay at are just beautiful at Christmas. We will have just been to AKL in Oct., so this isn't a once in a lifetime trip for us. We have stayed Poly concierge so we are familiar with concierge service.

WHEW! Now, to the questions!:)

GF:
Outer Lodge concierge or MK view both run around $1500.-I'm not familiar with the concierge structure at GF. Are there different levels? Is the MK view worth extra money?

WL:
Concierge is $1200.
Courtyard-$912.-Is concierge worth extra here?(it's not much extra, I know)

CR:
Bay Lake View-$1200.-we would love MK view, but it isn't available. What are your thought on this view?
Atrium Club-$1638-This is the most expensive, but does it offer MK view? Is the Atrium Club worth the bump in price?

AKL:
Standard concierge-$1000-I couldn't get any info on this about room view, etc. Any help would be appreciated

Okay, that's it for now. As you can see there are several options at different prices. The concierge at AKL is only $35 more than savanna view.:confused3 We can always go with our standbys and stay at the Poly GV or savanna or pool view at AKL, but I was thinking of trying something different. This is before any AP rates(fingers crossed), so that could make some difference for us.

Thanks!:)

For X-mas as nice as the GF is I would choose WL it's just so lovely over there during that time of the year.

GF would be my other choice

We toured all of them last year around that time as we were staying at SSR with our DVC.

As far as concerg or not I guess thats up to you if it's worth the money

I'm not familiar with the concierge structure at GF. Are there different levels? Is the MK view worth extra money?

The GF has two levels of concierge service: Sugar Loaf concierge, which is in an outer lodge, and Royal Palm Club, which is in the main lodge. In our opinion, the theme park view is worth it, because it's nice to be able to watch the fireworks from the room. Not everyone likes that, though; some people just have to be in the parks, and so for them, the view upgrade may not be worth it.

Cheers!

Is there a difference between the two concierges(outer lodge vs main lodge)? It's nice to hear feedback on the MK view. I always hear about the CR MK view room, but not much about the GF. We do like to watch the fireworks from the resort.

I'mNoPrince-I have heard that WL is beautiful at Christmas. We don't normally stay here, so it's nice to hear feedback. I'm not familiar with their concierge, so I'll have to think about that.

If your main goal is the MVMCP, then you should definitely be on the monorail. I really prefer staying at CR for after hours MK events, because you always have the option of walking back to the resort if the monorail station is packed. I love the Bay Lake view. It's very peaceful. You have a chance at getting MK view on the Atrium level, but it's a request only. You could end up paying the extra money and still having a lake view. Of course, there are other perks to the Atrium level.
