too many ppl on vmk?? anybody agree?

ok now i know the more the merrier in certain situations, but i think enough is too much now. i mean, yea it would be wrong to tell ppl they are not allowed to sign up, but don't u think something should be done? i mean come on, it takes me at least 2 minutes just to load the sign in page now. and sometimes i even get "this site is temporarily too busy"

sometimes i can't even get onto vmk! all i get is BSOD. i mean when vmk first opened, i remember 1500 people was like OMG! but now it's over 4500 ppl! doesn't anyone agree that vmk is a little too busy?

No actually I do not ....in the beginning that you refer to was Beta and Beta was never intended to have the crowds that VMK has now.


If there were no crowds there would be no VMK because that is what it all about exposure.

Personally, I think that it's good that many people play. That way disney will know whether or not to keep the game going. Since there is such a high response from people playing they will "hopefully" realize that many people play on a regular basis and want the game to be there forever.

Another thing is, maybe people are getting DC because there are many people trying to talk/dance/enter rooms all at the same time and VMK can't handle/load that much at once.

well don't get me wrong Mal, i do like that there are a lot of ppl on vmk. it means that ppl like it and it will be around a long time. also, more chances of more ppl getting inferno, which i need another one, LOL

i think i said the wrong thing in the beginning. what i mean is that vmk needs to have a bigger memory system to hold so many ppl. there are too many ppl for it to handle, which makes it harder for everyone else to get on. i do love the fact that so many ppl like vmk, but i think it is time it had a little update for all these ppl joining.

look at it like this, with WDW, DLR, hat shops, pin shops, magic shops and candy shops all promoting vmk, it's safe to say that over a million people have now been made aware of vmk.

5,000/1,000,000 is probably a huge disappointment to the creators.

more nano's should do the trick, so get your friends to play! It's just too bad they'll probably dis-own you as a friend for climaxing any temper they have once they're in.

i have to say that it is the crowds that is causing the problems too many ppl on but i dont think it would be an issue if ppl would leave there mules off and just use one player.. no one can say ppl are not doing it either because it is amazing how much the in vmk count comes up when ther is an event. before last nights event there was about 2500 ppl on then all of a sudden after the event opened it doubled in a matter of about 30 min i dnot think thats coincedence. dont get me wrong we all use mules but why at an event this easy JC here there is no need of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( end rant)

I wonder how many actual people 4500 means. Do you think the connection problems could anything to do with people attempting to sign in with multiple accounts to get free ice??? Grrr - me and my BSOD

oh i have a question, can't u get in line and get more ice more than once? i mean if this is true ppl don't need multiple accounts. because yesterday ppl were telling me they rode the rides 6 or 7 times. idkk, maybe i'm wrong but i thought u could ride as many times u wanted.

oh yes very true joe but when you have ppl getting 40+ carpets and track pieces when if i ride from open to close i can only get between 18 and 25 that tells me ppl are getting greedy after all why not ride with idk 3 players on and get 40 + i would never but some do..

We can't ever really be certain as to what it is exactly that is causing such irritating problems. However, theories are good LOL. I don't think it has to do with the amount of players in vmk because at times when there are close to 5,000 players in the game it is fine. Then at times when there are only around 2,000 players it acts all crazy on us.
From that, I don't think the problem is within the mules on a double screen either. It may slow down that player's computer but the other account is only another player on vmk. Due to my previous idea, that wouldn't make it the problem.
The amount of players entering the same room at once could possibly be a cause, though it may not be. VMK seems to slow up once a HOST game is open which would assist that theory. Yet I also understand that not everyone has ALL of the facts.
We can only infer what may cause the issues from what we know. How much do you think we actually know? I am certain of one thing and that is, vmk doesn't tell us everything that goes on behind the scenes. I suppose all we can do is sit and deal with the slowness, disability to enter a room - pick up things, and pull our hair out everytime we get dc'ed! lol.

Oh yeah. That must be the problem.

I don't think so. Fact is, if they are not active for a while, they get disconnected. With this event, people can't get into the queue and walk away for awhile. The lines are going way to fast for that. Not to mention the fact that we tend to have to keep trying to get into the queues because of the 50 people limit.

And fact is, none of us knows exactly what's going on behind the scenes. So some people need to please stop just trying to blame other people for all of vmk's problems. Only blame people if you have all the facts.

Dude if u think that the site is too busy why don't u get off ur self? That will help tone it down a bit. Who cares if there is over 4000 ppl, nothing is going wrong with me. I think it is just u man. U seem to be the only person who has a problem with other ppl coming on the site. U get so uptight about everything. And when the site says "temporarily to busy" u just click on it again and then ur in.

first of all im sure my pc is 1000 times better than yours ill guarentee that seings how I BUILT IT !!!!!!you want me to be honest with you shay all your post is, is a personal attack toward another person also known as flamming , and to others its funny how there are multiple other posts saying vmk down ??? and anybody else having trouble so i guess its not just me just fyi if i wanted to on my slow pc i have at one point had 15 players on the screen no crash either lets see you do that!!!!! If u cant take the fact that ppl speculate on the problems of the game asnd dont like my opinions dont read them and dont post on them sounds fair to me !!!!!!!!! end rant


As for loves disney very well put point i never looked at it that way i suppowse you are right in that what we dont know is the facts but i would agree the large number of ppl entering and leaving a room might do it not to mention with the new hostless events this weekend and just dropping the item in your inventory im sure there were plenty of bugs to work out.
