Too Many Options!

When we bought into DVC, there were two on-site options, OKW and BWV. I love planning our trips "home," but with all of the wonderful new resorts that have been constructed over the last 10 years, my family is having a really hard time deciding where they want to stay. I have passed the "accommodation planning reins" to my sons for our 2009 trip, and they are like kids in a candy store. "I want to stay at the Beach Club." "I want to stay at Animal Kingdom." "I want to stay at the Boardwalk." And now with the Contemporary and Treehouse Villas being announced, their indecision has multiplied. We usually do a split stay between two resorts, our home BWV and another great DVC resort. Initially the boys wanted to stay at BCV and AKV, but as we get closer to our 11 month reservation window, their selections are changing daily. I guess I do have 4 more months for them to figure it all out, as I have to make our first ressies at BWV and then try and switch them at 7 months, but with my luck they will have annouced another new, fantastic option for us to choose from. :rotfl2:

Is anyone else finding it increasingly harder to choose where to stay each trip with all of the wonderful options available, or are we just horribly indecisive?

WE JOINED IN 94 AT OKW AND HAVE STAYED THERE EVERY YEAR EXCEPT FOR A WEEK AT WILDERNESS LODGE (WHICH WAS GREAT). I LOVE OKW BECAUSE OF THE ROOMS AND THE CONVENIENCE OF PARKING CLOSE TO THE ROOM, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO TRY BCV OR BWV TO BE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF TWO OF THE PARKS. BLT WOULD BE GREAT ALSO BUT MORE FOR THE NOVELTY OF BEING ON THE MONORAIL LINE. AND NOW THEY HAVE THE TREE HOUSES! LIKE YOU SAID IT IS GETTING HARDER TO DECIDE. :confused3

At MS opening this morning, we called in to book BCV for 6 nights (on the 7 month window) - and completed a split stay booking at HHI/BCV in May 2009.

We had 5 alternate permutations in the wings, due to indecisiveness. We wanted a stay at a non-Disney location followed by a stay a Disney location . . . and the possibilities were driving us nuts!

I do like the darts idea.:rotfl2:
Of course, I could have them pull resort names out of a Mickey Mouse hat:earsboy:

agamich, We have never not had our home resort, BWV, as one of our resorts for our split stays. As much as my kids want to stay at other resorts, they keep saying that they can't imagine not checking in at the Boardwalk.

Disney Villians, maybe that it what we need a series of contingency plans. Of course then it will be an issue of which one to choose as the first plan.

bwvBound, Very true, no matter where we stay we'll be at Disney and that is really good.:)

No, the number and variety of resorts is not a problem at all, but the the lack of points certainly is!

Don't you just love to have the options! We are trying out VWL this Feb. Can't wait!
