I keep hearing how mvmcp can sometimes get very very crowded. I don't understand why Disney sells so many tickets per night. I know they limit them, but it should be more limited. I wonder how crowded its going to be. I'm going Tuesday, December 12th. I really hate crowds. :sad2:

Maybe I'll see you there! My DS13 and I are going that same night. I'm hoping it won't be too crowded myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

We'll be there too. Heard that Tuesdays are really good days to go, plus it's fairly early in the month, so I'm hoping for light crowds.

From my personal experience Tuesdays and Thursdays are good nights to go. I went on a Friday once, and it was horrid! I would imagine you would be fine :)

Have a great time. We are going on 12-21-06. I am expecting it to be crowded, but that is okay. I don't want to miss it because this could be our last time going for a while!!!!

:thumbsup2

Don't worry! You'll have a great time! There are parts of the park that will be crowded but not everywhere, and not anymore than a regular day. It was busy for Wishes and the parade and the counter service but the rides were almost walk on. In fact it was the first time we rode Magic Carpets because we never wanted to stand in line for it before... DS & I walked on 3 times in a row!

Do you know what the max. # per night is that they will sell?

Last Dec. 2nd thursday was plenty crowded IMO (do the show early, line gets looong).

It was even more crowded tuesday, 10/10 for MNSSHP; far more crowded than it was during the day.

Its not hard to understand why Disney sells so many tickets for each MVMCP - they make more money.

After a lot of thought, my theories are
. . . income
. . . revenue
. . . profit
. . . because they can
. . . people keep buying them

My daughter was told by a CM last week that for the MNSSHP they sell "only" 35000 tickets. I can assure you that on Tuesday, Oct 17, all 35000 people were there! :teeth:

We were there last year on Dec 20th and it was not too crowded. At least not were we were. (Tomorrowland, Adventureland and Frontierland). We saw the 2nd parade, on Main Street without saving places, yes we were 3rd row (behind strollers, not tall people) but that's good for coming in with about 15 to go before the parade.

MNSSHP this year was another story. And we went early, Sept 29th, WAY TOO Crowded!!! Don't know if they are selling more tickets for these events than in the past or not, but they are selling WAY too many judging by our MNSSHP experience. It was crowded everywhere, candy lines, photo lines, ride lines, could hardly find a place for the 2nd parade. And we hit all the lands, no let up in the crowds.

I would highly recommend catching the 2nd parade of the evening if possible. Also, don't stand in line for cookies and hot chocolate for the first hour or so unless you want to waste that time. It really clears up and slows down after the first hour or two. Try not to get overwhelmed with the crowds on Main Street, because most of the rest of the park is lightly crowded. Also, for pictures...I drug my family in there because I didn't want to miss it and it also slowed down tremendously towards the end of the evening. Good Luck....and even if you don't like crowds...the MVMCP is an event not to be missed! :tink:

I will also be there on the 12th. Does anyone know what time the second parade starts?

We were there last year ont the 13th....this year we are going on the 12th (tuesday) It should not be crowded. It is before the holiday recesses and the locals go on the weekends. Tuesday and Thursday are good nights for the MVMCP. last year it was not crowded at all. We loved it and had a great time. We did not rush to get there because we did not have to. We had an early and leisurely dinner at CG (5:30) then we rode the monorail around to the MK and walked right in. There were no lines for cocoa or cookies and we enjoyed everything. It was a perfect night too...it was very ccccccold!

Bring a scarf and gloves just in case! Have a great time!

We will be there that night also. I think it will be a good night.

We will be there that night, too. Hopefully it will not be too crowded as it is the first time our kids have been to a MVMCP and my DD is bringing a friend with her. Her friend has never been to Disney so the whole trip should be pretty magical.

Does anyone know if the Souvenir photo will still be available this year? Some are saying yes, and some are saying no.
