Hi!
We are taking our kids for their first trip in April :yay: The kids will be 4 and 2. We will have three days to explore the parks. I cannot decide between 2 1/2 days at MK or 2 days at MK and 1/2 day at either HS or Epcot. What say you? I want to be able to go at a pace that keeps everyone happy, so was originally thinking all MK days. Now, I'm concerned it may be too much time in one park. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I would do 2 days MK and 1 day AK or HS. Epcot doesn't offer a lot for the smaller kids. HS is construction crazy right now but has TSM.

3 MK days for sure. It has so many things for little kids that you will be busy for the 3 days. I would not go to HS just for TSMM

If your kids like animals and/or will sit still for cute theatre shows I would go to Animal Kingdom one of your days and Magic Kingdom for the other two. Young kids enjoy Kilimanjaro Safari, Maharajah Jungle Trek, at Dinoland USA there's Triceratops Spin which is a dinosaur version of dumbo and there's a cool playground called The Boneyard. For shows there's Flights of Wonder, Festival of the Lion King, and Finding Nemo the Musical. Conservation Station may also be a hit with a ride on the train, Rafiki meet and greet, and petting zoo. Enjoy your trip.

I would say two days at MK and then pick the park that interests you the most. Epcot, HS, & AK each have things that will appeal to your little ones. Unlike the other posters, my DD loves Epcot. I think she likes it way more than AK or HS.... That being said she still has fun at the other parks. So I say do something for parents!

I just realized that you will probably be there when Epcot is hosting Flower and Garden. I definitely think it's worth it to do Epcot if your dates coincide. It's really beautiful at that time of year with all the flowers and the planters. Also, there are play areas set up for little ones.

My kids are 5.5 and 8 and we are planning to spend almost 3 days at MK! Kids move more slowly, need more bathroom breaks, get distracted by the magic and all the little things around. I don't know how long your days are, or whether your kids need naps but I think MK could definitely keep you all entertained for 3 days and I'm not sure its worth it to trek all the way to another park just for 1/2 day. But that may also depend on where you are staying and whether you think you would come back when they are older.. I just know that when my youngest was 3, when she found a ride she liked, she wanted to ride it again, and again, and again....I really can't see little ones getting bored at MK!! But if you really want to go to another park, I also vote AK for the reasons listed above.

If you are going from Rope Drop to Fireworks in the park, I say two day at MK and .5 at either AK or EP (I disagree that there isn't much for little kids at EP. Ride wise, sure, but EP is so much more than rides).

But if you are taking a break or only going for part of the day, definitely the whole time in MK. My plan for my 2 year old is 3 mornings at MK with long afternoon breaks and some evenings for do-overs of favorites, shows + parade. So four hours for Fantasyland east of Winnie the Pooh + Buzz. Four hours for Adventureland + Splash. Four hours for Frontierland/Liberty Square/Fantasyland west of Pooh. Now, the only reason we can even do this is that we don't have to do a lot of character meets at MK (will do them at meals and other parks), we have a limited-by-height-and-attention-span 2 yo, and are adults who've been before and know what we don't care to do again. So we're skipping plenty of stuff. If we had to see *all the things* it wouldn't be enough time.

My kids have always loved EPCOT the most. My son, now 8, and daughter 2 1/2 LOVE it there. There is actually alot to do (WAY more than HS anymore). They love nemo ride and can spend an hour in the aquarium there, figment, the land boat ride, and the mexico boat ride. They also love coloring the duffy or agent P character and getting them stamped at all of the countries. During Flower and Garden festival they also have some incredible playgrounds set up at EPCOT and the butterfly house is always a bog hit.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We are planning rope drop to lunch, and if kids are up to it, will return in the evenings after a rest at Port Orleans Riverside. This won't be our only trip, so we'll stick with MK all three days and save the other parks for future visits. Thanks again for your advice :duck:

Touring MK in increments works well for us. We typically start the day at MK at rope drop and focus on a particular section of the park before taking a mid-day break. Then we head to a different park at night. It seems to really refresh us to do 2 different parks each day. Then the next day we start at MK again in a different area, and follow the same routine.

HS is really good for a 1/2 day if your kids are really into Disney Jr. While we do like AK, we only do the things there that we consider big ticket in our opinion. (Lion King Show, Everest, Kiliminjaro Safaris) It may be worth doing on your next visit if your kids aren't into animals that much, or you have a zoo near your house.

I hope you have a blast!

2 days at MK for sure. Then the third day at the park of your choice. All the other parks have different attractions that kids those ages will enjoy.
