We are planning our trip to WDW for Thanksgiving for 10 nights/11 days. I was shocked to find out that you can only get a Magic Your Way ticket/hopper for a Maximum of 10 days. Any days after the 10th you have to pay for at regular price.

Could somebody please tell me that this is not correct????? I really hope that the reservation agent misunderstood what I wanted and the 11th day will not cost an arm and a leg.

Probably because at that point, it would be cheaper just to purchase an annual pass. I don't know the exact numbers, but that would be my guess as to why they do it that way.

ETA: Looks like I was wrong! Just checked the prices.

I'm not postitive about the answer to your question, but I do have an alternate solution. Book 2 separate reservations. One for 5 nights and one for 6 nights (or whatever you need to make your dates work out). We have done this twice and the only - very small - hassle, is checking out and back in in the middle of the trip. Its not any more than a 5 min stop at Guest Relations, so it's never been a problem for us.

Good luck!

OH yeah, one other thing, if you're going to be booking two sep ressies anyway, you might want to consider resort hopping... one place for 1st 5 days, then move to another resort for the rest of the stay. We've done this once and it was super... Bell Services moves all your luggage, it's easy as pie. Just another thought.

You can also take a day off. With all that touring - you might need it!!

We always take a day off for a water park, nice meal and then serious shopping at downtown Disney!

I agree about taking a day off. This summer we were there for 12 nights and only had four park days. There is so much to do at WDW besides the parks and we have the best vacations this way.

If you decide to split your ressie the resort will bring all the paperwork to your room. When you check in let them know you have two ressies and they will put a hold on your room. The last night of your first stay they will call and ask for a time they can stop by the next morning with your new paperwork and room keys. It is very easy.

if you buy the magic plus tix you can go to water parks or dq on your off days- it gives you 10 parks days and 5 or 6 plus days.

My thoughts exactly. You can spend the 11th day at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. You'll probably want to take a day away from the parks anyway, with so many days planned.

Another alternative is to spend a day at your hotel pool, SeaWorld, or Kennedy Space Center.

We're going for 14 days this January, and will be buying the 10 day w/hopper. We will be spending one day relaxing at the resort before the P&PP, one day at Downtown Disney, one day at Fantasia Gardens, and one optional day for a waterpark.

The difference in price between an annual pass and a 10 day hopper is A LOT. I priced it out, and for some reason I'm thinking it was at least a $500 difference for our family.

Half way through our "short" 8 day trip we will be going to Sea World. As mentioned above, there are plenty of non Disney options available. Universal has two parks available also and along with the many options Orlando offers you, there should be plenty to do.

Look into buying an annual pass. It may be cheaper, and you could get a really good discount on your room and meals. :thumbsup2

You could always take a trip to Sea World, or Universal. It might make a nice change, we are going to SW, Universal and IOA next trip.

Sorry, but you won't be able to upgrade your 10 day passes. We tried twice this past summer to upgrade DD's pass, once at DTD Guest Services and again at one of the parks. Both times we were told the 10 day passes were not upgradable.

I wouldn't worry about it. My family would definately be "parked out" without a rest day. There's lot's of non-park stuff to do!
