Too Many Character Meals???

Hi we've booked - Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Tusker House, O'Hanas and Garden Grill !!:goodvibes

I know the food isn't going to be the best - but at least DS4 will be entertained long enough for us to at least eat something - anything!!:lmao:

I agree with what some said...you can NEVER Have too many character meals! :rotfl: We think it's a better way to meet the characters than wait in lines in hot weather. Being in the restaurants is also a nice break from the heat and is a way for us to spend time together as a family. We have a lot more character meals during our upcoming June trip planned than you do, so don't feel bad at all. If you're doing the dining plan, I think it's worth it, especially if you have young kids. Our DD-5 loves character meals, especially the Hollywood and Vine! We've done all the character meals you are planning on doing except for Donald's Safari Breakfast, but we're doing that one on our next trip in June.

Enjoy your character meals and enjoy your time at Disneyworld. IT truly is a magical place!

You can never have too many character meals.:)

I don't think you have too many character meals, but, then, we tend to normally schedule 5-6 character meals per trip as well. We like seeing the characters in the restaurants & not having to stand in as many character-lines in the parks.

For our upcoming trip (9 days/8 nights), we have the following character meals scheduled:

Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch)
Crystal Palace (lunch)
Garden Grill (lunch)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)

On our last trip, we had the above scheduled plus Donald's Breakfastasauras and the Princess Storybook breakfast.

Our kids also like Whispering Canyon Cafe and Ohana, and, this year, we're trying Coral Reef and Le Cellier too.

How do you set these up? DD 9 mos loved Mickey on DCL last month and I'd like to do at least one during our 3-day trip in May. Which would you recommend for her age? Grandma and Grandpa are also coming, so maybe LTT? Thanks! :flower3:

:confused3
Okay, so I am trying to figure out our ADR's for November and I wanted to ask if there can be too many character meals? Right now I'm looking at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Donald's breakfast at Tusker House, and possibly Hollywood & Vine (for the playhouse Disney characters).
We will have a 7DS, 5DS, 3DS, and 22 monthsDD.
What do you think?

I think you're going to have a great time! Your kids are the perfect ages for the character meals and are going to love them. We did one character meal a day last year (and are planning the same for this year, and yes, we're on the ddp). I think they're a great value and save you park time by seeing the characters in a more relaxed setting, and getting to eat at the same time. We did Crystal Palace, Donald's breakfast (a little different last year) and Hollywood & vine last year and they loved them all..different characters and really got you into the Disney spirit. This year we're planning on Akershus (dinner), Crystal Palace (dinner), Hollywood & Vine (lunch), 1900 Park Fare (dinner), Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner) and we're paying OOP for CRT (breakfast) for my dd's 5th bday. We're going in November (1 - 8th) and can't wait to make my adr's!

Have fun planning!

I don't think you can do too many character meals. We did one each day we were there and the kids LOVED it! Never complained. I actually enjoy them very much because I actually get to eat without my 8 year old saying "Are we done yet??? Can we go already??? Mom I'm bored??" LOL

I did have to stop for pictures and video taping but that was okay. It's so nice to be able to sit down for a little while after all that running around.

I don't have a problem with the buffets either. DH or myself will go up with DS and get food for DD. One of us stays and sits with her, wait for them and then get our food.
