Too many character meals? Please advise

No, my mom is not going, but this is the first trip I have been on without her. She has been a LOT of times so she does have some weight with her opinions, ya know? One thing is, she has never done the DDP.

I'm still not sure about the DDP..if it'll work out for us or not. It seems like a LOT of eating...but it's done so we'll know next time what we want to do. The only problem I have is that I haven't booked a mickey meal. I have an open day on my Animal Kingdom day. I might try a mickey meal there...for breakfast at AK or supper someplace else. I just don't want to have to leave early to go eat somewhere, ya know?

My question is this. I'm staying from May 27th through June 5. How many credits will I have? I think 10. Am I correct? I know I have 2 meals that require 2 and that's ok. I just want to make sure my numbers are right.

Thanks!!

She will only turn 5 at Disney World once, so, go with your gut!!! If you get down there and decide you have over-booked your meals, its easy to cancel, but, never easy to get ADRs once you're there.

Have fun!

We did the following character meals on our last trip:

Chef Mickey's (Dinner)
Crystal Palace (Dinner)
Askershus (Lunch)
Cindy's RT (Dinner)

My DD's were 4.5 and 2.5 during our trip. Not the best ages to be sitting down in adult type of restaurants. The characters provided a good diversion during dinner, came right to our table to see the kids. I think when you go to Disney with kids, and you are going to eat in the parks, you do as many character meals as you can stand!

We also did a dinner at O'hana, which the kids loved as well. They danced the hula, did the limbo, and all the other fun things that go on there.

WOW! Thats great your mom wants to help! I wasn't sure where you were coming from.;)
Your little girl will love it.
The first time we went, we only did one on our last day. Then the following year we did 3. It's nice to have the characters coming to you then you going to them.
I don't blame you not want to leave the park to go eat. I still pass on that.

This past august is the first time we did DDP, You do eat a lot. We already decided not to do it again.

For DDP credits, you are going 10 days? I think, you only have 9 credits for each person. The last day don't count...you are checking out.
We went to 10 days too. But we only had 9 credits each.

You can call WDW and ask them...how many credits for each.

You can NEVER have too many character meals.

Have a wonderful trip!
