So, we're heading down after Thanksgiving, and I've got our basic reservations. I'll spend the next several months tweaking, but I've also got to drop a few.

We are on the DDP, and are visiting for 7 days. My original plan was to try and visit all new restaurants this trip, but I've got a few repeats. These may or not be ones we keep.
We were originally booked for September, but had to modify our trip to late November and flights have us arriving at different times than previously planned. We only have one TS meal planned for Epcot on our full park day.
We're a family of 5, with kids ages 4, 7, 9.

Saturday - early evening arrival, visit Epcot, QS only

Sunday - TS Kona dinner (continue to try for 'Ohana, but will consider booking at The Wave if can't get that).

Monday - TS Coral Reef lunch, TS Garden Grill dinner. Will be dropping one of these. We have eaten at GG before, and I do like the character aspect, as we don't have a lot of character meals

Tuesday - QS BOG breakfast, TS Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner

Wednesday- QS BOG breakfast, TS Liberty Tree Tavern

Thursday - TS Mama Melrose F! Lunch, TS H&V dinner (will drop one of these, have tried MM before and liked it, but torn as I think kids would love Minnie's dining event)

Friday - TS Rainforest Cafe

Saturday- TS Trattoria at Boardwalk breakfast

As you can probably see, we have 9 TS choices, and only 7 allotments. I'm open to any recommendations :goodvibes

I would drop Coral Reef-maybe use your snack credits to "snack around the world" for lunch that day.

I would also try Hollywood and vine! I've heard that the food quality is much better than before and great character interaction.

By my count, you currently have three character meals booked: Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine and Trattoria al Forno. You know your family, but it seems to me you could easily drop one without much issue. Have you considered moving either Mama Melrose's or Coral Reef to dinner and ditching the character meal currently scheduled for that night? That's what I would do, at least, but I admit we're not all that interested in meeting characters and care more about food quality.

I would drop Mama Melrose, and Rainforest Cafe. I'd be torn on keeping GG vs. Coral Reef, because the new CR menu looks really good, and I really really disliked the menu before.

I don't care for Garden Grill dinner (love their breakfast), so I'd drop that.

For the meals you drop, are they being replaced with QS OOP, or QS using a credit?

If you would be paying for those meals OOP at QS, consider paying OOP for Rainforrest. It has entrees that are only a few dollars more than QS prices.

Can you book the H&V dinner is a F! package? By thanksgiving, H&V lunch will also be Minnie, and that is another way to get the F! package. I would drop Mama Melrose (since you've done it) and book the H&V lunch F! if you can get it.

Liberty Tree tavern is a very similar menu to Garden Grill, but no characters. I would consider dropping that one, also. Personally, I would choose both Crystal Palace and the Festival of Fantasy package at Tony's over Liberty Tree. If you get the parade package at Tony's, you also get an appetizer with the DDP.

I'd drop the bolded

I would drop Rainforest Cafe. It's nothing special, IMO. You can likely visit someplace else in a different city.

Thanks all for your input!

We will be replacing a TS with a QS, since we'll have 7 of each on the DDP.

Because of the ages of our kids, we're generally going to try and eat in the park we are in (except, we will have 3 days at MK, and try two restaurants in the area).

I think we may try Coral Reef at Epcot, since we've eaten at GG before, and will likely add in the H&V Minnie's seasonal dine for a character meal.

Lots of folks down on Rainforest Cafe ....The only other restaurant that I'd like to try at AK is Yak & Yeti...and I think with our kids, they'd loooove RFC much more.

For some reason, the quote feature isn't working for me, but @PrincessArlena'sDad, thanks for the comments on LTT. I actually forgot about Crystal Palace...

@Hopefully - I was really hoping to get both a lunch and breakfast at BOG....I don't think I'll be keeping both breakfasts though.

@Heath - good to hear you enjoy H&V! We actually went for their breakfast back in 2013, and it was a great meal! I think we'll keep that, and drop MM (which we really liked, but try something different )

So many choices...my husband wants to eat at the "tried and true, we know what we're getting" restaurants, but I want to try new places!

I have same issue with DH and kids always wanting to do tried and true while I like to try some new places. Must have eaten at Cape May, Biergarten and Ohana a hundred times, lol. Sanaa and Beaches and Cream are more recent adds to the must do list. So I say try your new places. I try to have one or two each trip. Since CR would be a new place for you...go for it. The atmosphere is awesome. If you do early or late time, you may he able to ask for and not have a long wait for table right at the tank. GG is a lot like LTT except with characters. As far as MM or H&V, I'd pick MM because I really like it though we've never done H&V but have heard it's bad.
