Hey everyone! I'm new to the DIS boards, but I've already read sooo many helpful stories, tips, and information about this program. I'm really really excited about this and I hope I get in. The only thing is, I'm nervous that I applied too late.. . To be fair, the presentation at my university was April 7, and of course I applied that night, and then called the next day to schedule the phone interview. But then I went on all the forums and found out that applications have been out for a while. And I saw all the groups with people who have been accepted for months. =/ My phone interview is tomorrow. I'm not nervous about it, I'm actually really excited to talk to them, and show them what I have to offer. I'm just hoping it's not too late =/. Have any of you alumni gotten accepted this late before? I know I may be worrying for nothing, and I apologize that this is so long. Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced! =)

What roles did you pick? That will help give an idea of if it's too late or not - they're always looking for Quick Service Food People, and probably Merchandise too, maybe even Attractions and Housekeeping.... and Custodial..... haha. There are a few roles that are really good to pick if you think you'd be okay doing them, because they need a lot of people and not many pick those roles.

I checked off attractions, merchandise, main operations, costuming, and recreation. But at this point I'll take anything!! I know they are gonna ask me about QSFB because I currently work at a pizza place and I put that on the application. I wanted to try something new but at this point I'll take what I can get.

I was researching to see if I actually just wanted to go ahead and apply for Fall 2010, but I didn't. I saw presentation dates at other Universities and Colleges all the way until tomorrow!! Good luck & I hope you get in!! :)

Oh really? Wow. That makes me feel alot better. :) thank you!!

First I don't think it is too late but I would suggest you go over the roles again tonight and think about adding some more. Tomorrow during your interview tell them that you want to add more and what they are. The more roles you pick the better chance you have. That being said you picked some pretty good roles so don't be to nervous. Also if you are willing to do QSFB I would put it down because they ALWAYS need more people for that. Good luck on your interview and don't forget to smile!

Thank you!! I'll definitely do that. My recruiter told me to pick 5, but it definitely makes sense to add more to up my chances. And I don't think I could not smile even if I tried. I'm soo excited. Thanks again! :)

don't limit your choices, I think I selected 12 roles (and they still asked me about QSFB)

Yeah I was in the same boat, I used to work at a food court, now I do movie concessions. I put down a bunch of stuff, my interview was a couple of weeks ago and I just wanted to get in. But yeah she asked about QS off the bat, and I did get accepted there. I guess you could try really selling yourself on another role that you really want because otherwise it's just too easy to put us in QS.

You are very welcome! Just make sure to keep everyone updated!! :)

Of course! You guys will be the first to know, other than my entire neighborhood, because if I get in I'm not sure I'll be able to control the jumping and screaming. haha! =)

Yea, well I guess the upside is we have experience, and really we'll be in disney so I'm down for any role as long as I'm there. If I get QSFB, i'll let you know. We can suffer together. lol =)

I had QSFB experience (4 years at McD's and I was a manager). I told my interviewer that if that was the only way I'd get into the program I'd take it but to be honest it was my very last choice of roles and that 4 years of fast food was enough to last me a lifetime.

I was offered (and accepted) Main Enterance Operations.
