Our trip is in 24 days. We are paid in full, magic bands arrived this week (yay!). The problem is, 1 of the adults going with us has had to cancel. Is it too late for us to get a refund of their part of the package or do we just lose that money? TIA!

Did you book with Travel Insurance (it defaults to be included, so if you didn't opt out you should have it)? If so, and his reason for backing out is legit according to their terms, then yes you can get a refund (at least partial).

If no insurance, and/or the reason isn't covered... the ticket can be saved for a future trip (assigned to another person even), and the meal credits (if you have dining plan) can be used by anyone. Assuming you would have gotten the same type of room regardless, you really aren't out anything as long as meals & tickets are used now or in the future.

:goodvibes

Within 45 days of arrival you can modify (e.g. remove 1 person from the reservation), but you will be charged a $50 change fee because you are reducing the total cost of your package.

If you opt to leave the package as is, the canceled person's ticket can be saved and used on a future trip or given away. If you have the dining plan the dining credits are assigned to the room and not to a person so anyone else in the room can use the dining credits.
