Too late to add DDP?

I'm new here and looked to see if this had already been posted, but didn't see it, so here goes:

We are going for our second trip to DW the first week of December and already have our 5-day hopper tickets (we upgraded on last visit for another 5 days.) I read about the meal plan and it seems great, but I planned to book our stay at Pop Century through AAA to get the 20% discount they offer. So in doing this, is there any way to add on the DDP to our stay without having to book the hotel through DW? I wondered if it would be possible to add on when we checked into the hotel?

You do have to buy new tickets to get dining. However you can just buy one day for each person then save them for future use (they can be upgraded in the future to whatever length you want). Dining can be added up until 5 days (i think but definitely BEFORE ARRIVAL).

BOoking through AAA still gives you the 20 percent on the room portion of your package.

It is 72 hours before arrival the dining plan can be added on -- 3 days ahead of check-in. And as noted a MYW Dining package will include at least 1 day park tickets to all guests in the party, over 3 years old. And everyone must have the same ticket. You can buy a MYW package through AAA or Disney.
