Hello! Luckily I didn't have any trouble booking my ADR's 180 days out for October 1-8 (Including Le Cellier-but booked for lunch to use 1ts, using 2 at Yachtsman! ) However, I was wondering, a couple of my ressie's are for 8:00 and 8:20...is this too late to eat? I just figured, we have to allow adequate time for travel to the restaurant (we aren't always near it that day) and didn't want to have to leave the parks too early to go to eat! Also figured we could just be done for the day after eating...does anyone else make ressie's this late? How has it worked out for you?

I make reservations this late when it is just my DH and myself. I do NOT make them that late with my children as that is past their bed time and figure other diners are there to have a good experience not listen to my children whine because they are too tired. ;)

Take a look at the park calendars and see if that conflicts with anything else you might want to see. This time would probably conflict with fireworks and night time shows. Otherwise, I enjoy eating at this time with my DH.

Enjoy!

We come from the left coast and have eaten as late as 10:20 at WDW.

We like our evening meal to be the last activity of the day.

We made a handful of ADRs around that time on our last trip (and this upcoming one too). We actually found that better in some cases, even with kids, since a late dinner allows a greater window for nap or relaxation time mid day.

I agree with ccgirl...Early dinner ADRs are better w/ kids. I'd shoot for 5-5:30PM to allow time for a wait and seating. If you go later, you may be waiting longer as the people finishing up are still eating...

My kids need dinner earlier and even at Disney we were back to our room by 9 PM.

It depends on what time you are used to eating. We normally eat at 6:30 at home so we try to stick to 6-6:30 reservations. Places like Cali Grill we like to get in right when they open so we can sit near the windows.

With our DS?? Too late. Before DS, I'd have had no problem with that. Not every night, but a few would be fine. Heck, back then we park hopped and did pm extra magic hours too! :)
