Too late for cheap flight in July?

I have been watching flights out of toronto and buffalo to mco for months now-for July and noe we're 6 weeks away and still have no flight! I continue to almost book out of Buffalo, but then I figure if I have to pay around 350 I might as well pay a bit more and fly out of Toronto...and then I wait and no deals have come up...Is there still a chance I could get a deal this late in the game?

I used the SkyScanner app on my iPhone and found a BUF-MCO return flight for $254.81 if you're willing to have a connecting flight in Charlotte, NC.

Outbound July 9, 2013 - US Airways US1411 and US1729
Inbound July 16, 2013 - US Airways US800 and US1952

That's really just the first "legal connection" flight I found in my search... there were more. Looks like Tuesdays are a good day to fly this particular route in July. I usually find the flight I want on the app and then call my Canadian travel agent with the dates and flight numbers. Costs a little more to book through a Canadian agent, but worth it for peace of mind.

Seems like airfare is always so unpredictable I booked July a few weeks ago and I just checked, it has gone up $100 per ticket. I think that if you find something that feels right for you - don't wait, book it

Just keep looking. Every day. A couple of times a day if you can. Once I book, I always check. In one day, my airfare dropped $35 a person, then came back up higher, than what I originally paid, later in the same day.

If you find airfare that you think is reasonably priced, book it. And as a side note, I have been booking airfare for years without using a Canadian travel agent. I think booking airfare with them, and being charged, is a waste of money.

Yes, I agree we always book on our own, and usually have some luck out of Toronto, and if not we fly out of Buffalo, but no luck this year yet...I keep looking several times a day

I know its further but southwest out of flint is pretty reasonable.
