Meant to say - too HOT to wear princess dress in late sep- early Oct? We are going to WDW sept 26-oct 4th.

My little girl will be 3 yrs and we will take her to BBB and I want to give her the princess Sofia dress that day also (we have MNSSP this night also--now I'm worried about how hot that costume might be? Thoughts??? I have seen other little girls running around in princess gowns at WDW but always during Nov when it is much cooler! What to do? No dress? Or perhaps just crown and wand? And what about all the other ppl that dress up for MNSSHP? Are they roasting or what? We are from New England so we wear shorts when it's 60 deg outside, ha!

My DD wore hers in August with no problems. She even wore her Merida long sleeve dress for half a day and didn't complain.

My DD will wear her princess dresses in any weather. I do remind her often to drink water and frequently check her like you would an infant - hand between her shoulder blades to see if she seems too hot. Bring a cool change of clothes and ask every hour or so if she wants to change. She'll probably let you know if she's miserable. DD recently did most of a 90 degree day in her long sleeved Anna dress (with cape!) at DLR without complaint. I realize CA is different than FL, but just keep an eye on her and monitor her and I bet she'll be fine.

It can be quite hot still then, however, it shouldn't be SO terrible for a princess dress. Yes, MNSSHP can be hot, depending when you go. Fortunately, it does cool down a bit after the sun goes down.

It never fails, it's always warm in October in October until, literally, the week of Halloween. I always end up freezing Oct 31st wherever we go. So weird, the weather in Florida. LOL.

Little girls will wear their dresses 365 days a year. If she wants to wear it, go for it!

I say go for it. The Sofia dress, in particular, is a little cooler than the others, it's short sleeved and not full length. DD wore hers to formal night on our Dream cruise last September (it was the Nassau day) and she wore it again when we got back to WDW afterwards.
