Too fat to ride?

Okay for those of you who are of the plumper variety who have gone to WDW, how big was too big for rides? I'm a fairly large woman, and I'd love to ride some stuff... but I'm really worried I'll be stuck standing around while my DH takes the kids on rides.

Don't worry. I saw people of all sizes on the rides. The only place you might have a problem is getting through some of the turnstiles. I am average size and I turned a little sideways on a few of them! You can always go through the gate to the side of the turnstile. I did on the way in one day because I didn't feel like squishing my belt purse!

I wear size 22  and I'm far from being too large to ride.

WDW is very friendly to people of all shapes and sizes.

Yes they are! :thumbsup2

Thanks guys... I'm hoping I can get back down a few sizes. I'm beginning to get a little ridiculous. If I gain anything I won't be able to buy cheap clothes at Walmart anymore :rotfl: . Nice to know I should be okay at WDW though. I've wanted to ride :dumbo: since I was five!

You'll be fine! :grouphug:

The only thing you might not be able to ride is Rockin' Roller Coaster due to the shoulder restraints but you'll probably be fine.

I rode Rockin'Roller just fine, and I'm a BIG girl, who carries most of my weight in my torso.

Agreed, I'm big with a big chest and have had problems with shoulder restraints not fitting over my chest (or squishing my breasts til I thought they would pop!) at other themeparks, but no problems in WDW and definitely not on Rockin Roller Coaster which was actually quite roomy all around.

I also realized that Expedition Everest was way more roomy than I expected. They have little mesh pockets in front of your seat for your belongings and I had a moderate sized bag with me. Before I got on I was thinking the bag would take up most of my leg room, but to my surprise there was a ton of room for my legs and feet and a lot of room between my body and the car in front of me.

As a "chubby" gal with enormous "booties" - I can attest to the fact that Rockin' Rollercoaster is fine as well :) :lmao:

I am big (5'1 230) and I have never had an issue with any WD ride, I love RNR and have done it over and over, no problem.
