Too early for a fastpass?

We plan on getting to the EMH park at opening. My question is: I've read that when two rides are next to each other, such as TT and RRC, you should get a fastpass for one, ride the other, and then use your fastpass for the first. If the ride just opened, will they be giving out fastpasses for it?

We arrived at AK yesterday around 8:10, got a fastpass for Expedition Everest for around 9:10.

Yes - the main rides (like you mentioned) will have their fastpass ticket booths open. It's always best to fastpass one and go in stand-by for the other. Sometimes you are able to go twice on the Stand-by one and then your fastpass will be up at the other ride.

I was able two years ago to ride 12 of the rides in MK within 3 hours with the smart use of Fast-pass. Now granted it was May and not key summer crowd months but still if I hadn't use Fast-pass I would never of done so much in such little time.

It sounds like Soarin and EE are the major ones to try and get Fast-passes first thing when you enter those parks.

Also I've heard but can't say if truthful or not that if you have a Fast-pass you weren't able to use say on Wednesday and you keep it and go to that park on Thursday, you're able to use that pass that day.

Good luck. Ely
