OMG! On the news just now, the wife of the "ring leader" was interviewed. She said she was tricked Monday night. Authorities rang her doorbell and said there had been a bad accident and that her husband and two sons were in critical condition at Duke. So she, her daughter and pregnant DIL were taken to Duke, taken around back, separated and she was handcuffed. Apparently this is acceptable practices, but it's just plain terrible since she lost a son in a car accident just two years ago. Regardless of guilt, can you imagine the emotions of this mother?

I'm going to second this motion and include the wife and mother of terrorists. I have no problem with what the FBI did in this situation.

ever seen the show 24? These people will do whatever it takes to hurt us! yes I know that is tv but these things do happen everyday...can you imagine the things that go on that we never hear about? It is scary.

I think they probably had to do something like this to protect themselves. The police show up at the home of terrorists, and there are liable to be weapons in the home, and they have no idea what they are walking into. To tell the family this actually got their guard down, and got them into a public place where there was no chance that they could attack or injure anyone. Very smart ploy, IMO.

That is true...some people really think that if they ask you if your a cop (and you are) that you HAVE to tell them....you do not.They can lie to you and trick you if that is what it takes to stop a crime.I have no problem with them telling a wife of a terror suspect a lie to get the info they need.Do you really think this womens husband AND kids were doing this and she had no clue? NOT ON YOUR LIFE.I think they should charge her also.
In many ways I think someone that does this that is from the U.S. is WORSE than if they were from another country! TREASON! There is a reason it is punishable with the death sentence!

I find it hard to believe that this "wife" was clueless about her DH's activities and his "friends". Where did she think he went when he left the USA? Bermuda? So she was handcuffed. How many lives were saved by the result of these arrests.

I agree. When I first heard this, I was thinking one way; thinking of a mom being told that her family had been in an accident, with her little girl by her side and thinking how could they touch on this raw nerve. But then my brain took over, so I'm with the rest of you. I could care less about the mental turmoil she "may" be suffering.
