Too busy to stay on track?

So today was one of those neverending days: I'm a teacher and tonight was Open House for parents. I was at school from 7:30am til 8pm!! For lunch the salad bar was non-existent because of the popularity of the hot item: chili dogs. So I had a slaw dog and fries for lunch. Then I only had time to run to Blimpie to pick up dinner before the parents started arriving (not the healthiest thing ever since I got the Blimpie Best with mayo and cheese :o, but it was such a long day I felt I deserved it!) .

And of course when I got home I had no energy left for exercise.

I've been doing so well with exercise (6-7 times per week) and eating that I'm feeling pretty bad about "falling off the wagon" tonight.

What do you guys do when you're just too busy to be healthy? Or am I just making excuses for myself?!

{{{HUGS}}} It is hard when life gets busy to stay on track. The only thing I can suggest is to try to plan ahead and bring something from home so you aren't stuck with the unhealthy lunchroom fare. As for exercise, I try to park further away from where I am going and to take the stair whenever possible. You just do what you can do at the time and remember that tomorrow is a new day.

Don't worry about one busy day..you'll make up for it tomorrow. We parents really appreciate you guys, especially these types of events when you are at the school all day and evening. I love to meet the teachers and learn about the courses my kids are taking. I will probably miss out on exercising on our Curriculum night in a couple of weeks!

Thanks for the support!! :D Your'e right. Today is another day and I will regain control!!

Val -

Don't feel bad. When most people fall off, they're gone for at least a week. You bounced right back! Way to go!

I'm doing my student teaching now, so I kind of understand the whole deal... What a pain those days can be on our bodies, huh?

On a brighter note, we'll have to do some sort of a meet! I'll be in the World for Christmas, too!
