Okay I tryed Tony's on Saturday sept 22 and the food was great. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was hot and cooked well. I did not have a ressies and I had a table with in ten minutes. For dessert I had pumpkin cheesecake that was light and airy. The wait staff was warm and friendly.

I've eaten at Tony's 3 different trips, 2 times it was good and the last time was not good at all. I wish they could be consistantly good. I don't think I will try them again. Glad you had a good meal.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, but if you go by the reviews here, you must be one of the chosen few.

We love Tony's... Food and Service has always been excellent for us... We go every year..

DD loves the Meatballs and Spaghetti, me?? everything on the menu..:thumbsup2

I always love dining reviews and reading about different people's palates.
I also find if interesting that I tend to have opposite opinions than the crowd.
What many consider a "must do", I consider disgusting garbage (Chef Mickey, OHana, Le Cellier, etc). What others avoid like the plague (Coral Reef, Marrakesh, etc), I seem to like.
I haven't eaten at Tony's only because the time/place/circumstance hasn't popped up, but I wouldn't be surprised if I thought it was ok (not expecting much) while others dismiss it. Since I am a huge fan of Via Napoli and probably wouldn't eat Italian twice in one WDW visit, I don't see Tony's in our future. However, that is only circumstantial.

One of the reasons I love Disney is the vast array of options for so many people with completely different tastes.

We ate there in April and loved it! I was so apprehensive based on the reviews but wanted to try it at least once and decide for ourselves. I'm glad we did, b/c it was great and we've booked Tony's again for our March trip. I got the mushroom ravioli, DH got the chicken parm. The bread was really great with the dipping oil!

I ate at Tony's recently because family members wanted to go. After reading the reviews, I was expecting nothing much better than lukewarm, bland ravioli from a can. At best.

Honestly? The meal was one of the best of our trip.

Our server was fantastic. We ate at a busy time of evening and had a rather large party...yet we were sat almost immediately upon check in, and the wait staff was attentive throughout.

Our large group had a mix of their offerings...calamari, pumpkin soup, ceasar salad, tomato/mozz salad, zuchinni fries...spaghetti, chicken parm, cioppino, cannelloni, short ribs...

Everything was shared, and everything was very good.

Desert as well (gelato, seasonal sorbet, cheesecake).

At the end of our stay, the group ate again at Tutto Italia. We had another mix of appetizers and entrees...and the food wasn't, overall, as good as we found at Tony's. Nothing stood out as being better...it was either 'as good' or 'almost' as good. We weren't even tempted to have desert...the food was good, but not outstanding, and the prices were much steeper.

Frankly, both were on par with chain Italian restaurants found in my mid-Atlantic residence. I'm ok paying Tony's prices for that. I wasn't happy paying Tutto Italia prices for that, especially since we found Tony's food better overall.

So, the next time we're at WDW, I would not hesitate to eat at Tony's again. I would think twice about Tutto Italia, simply because the cost was higher (at lunch vs. dinner at Tony's) and the quality was the same or slightly less.

When I finally tried Tony's and really enjoyed it. The food was good, great service and just an all around nice meal.

In the past we have always had plans to go but never made it since Italian food in the middle of summer (we are usually there in August) just always seem so heavy but in the end we are totally glad we went.

I always read people reviews but go with want I want to try in the end since I don't have the same taste as others and others don't have the same taste as me. Like one of the PP some of the places at WDW that everyone raves about I just don't like and don't enjoy.

Glad you liked it!!
