Tony's transportation

Hello all, I have a reservation with Tony for transpo to and from universal. I prepaid the 125.00 round trip and wanted to pre pay the tip, but tony said do that the day of trip. How do you guys handle the tip portion, do you do half when you are picked up at the airport and half on your return trip to airport or some other way, Thanks
 
I have been using Tony all week and also using him every day this week

I tip him before I get out of his car when he drops us off.

He does say it is your choice to tip the round trip service for airport to you hotel on the second leg.
If you are using him for to and from the airport, you can tip either way at one time or during the return back to the airport.

I prefer to tip each time I get out of his car.

Besides Tony providing the round trip airport ride, he also provides grocery stops.

The man is a gem!
 
I will second the fact that Tony is great!
We always take advantage of the grocery stop as well.

I tip each time I get out of the car too. If he's double booked, you could get a different driver that he works with. This way, I know that the person who drove me gets the cash in hand.
 
Agree!!! Used Tony's twice for our Universal trips. Excellent and did the same with tipping ~ we like to give as we take that leg of the trip.
 

Assuming no grocery stop, what do you all see as the 'norm' for a tip for Tony's service? I'm just curious what people think on this.

I tip at least $15 each way. He does such a great job and his business is really down since Covid hit.
 
Heading down the end of March and was thinking of skipping ME, would Tony be a good alternative from airport to yacht club? How would I get in touch with him?

The grocery stop is complimentary for all passengers
There’s no change for his fare rates whenever you do a side stop or not.

Tips for his car service is appreciated.
 
Heading down the end of March and was thinking of skipping ME, would Tony be a good alternative from airport to yacht club? How would I get in touch with him?
Absolutely. We used him from the airport to AOA last year. His driver met us at baggage claim, helped with our luggage, and took us out a door very close to baggage claim where the van was parked. It was the fastest we had ever gotten out of the airport and on our way. He used to have a web site I could find via google, but his number is 407-406-9093 or email aobh607@gmail.com. I usually email and he's a fast responder. If you want to pay in advance by credit card, he can email you an invoice.

We always tip 20% as well, but will tip the driver in cash since he has a few that drive for him.

I also tip each leg, because it might be Tony or his associate driving. I tip $20 each leg, because after so many trips we trust the drivers (I believe there are only two), appreciate the grocery/liquor store stop (same place), and honestly we take a bunch of luggage and they help load and unload all luggage. In the scope of the total cost of a trip to USO, these tips in addition to the fare are a bargain. I just booked our HHN hotel, so I'll be contacting Tony soon to book transportation (this will be our 8th time booking with Tony I think). Just an aside story: A few years ago, a hurricane was bearing down on our departure date. Tony called me to recommend a pickup 2 hours early to get to the airport before the storm. Without that, we might have been stuck. Excellent customer service, and on top of everything else, he has our total support.
 
Tony has two men that he has drive for his customers when he has a time conflict

Both are great and similar to Tony

I have used them in past trips and Tony does drive me for one of the 3 legs of travel when he has a full schedule

I used him for 12 days this past trip I came back a few days ago.
( my kids stayed longer so that made it 14 days of car service total for the group)

I locked in with him for my September trip already.

Imprint, book soon as he kept getting calls for September bookings when we were in the car

If he has multiple customers for the same time period, he does his best to cover at least one leg of the transportation ride for all.

He picked us up in his 12 passenger vehicle at the airport when we arrived on day #1

I told him we had 5 adults and 1 child who needed a car seat
We also had 12 pieces of luggage.
(And groceries)

No extra charge for us using the larger vehicle.


Each day we used him to and from the parks which was 12 days with additional grocery stops
We were able to have him use the other smaller 9 seat vehicle for our park days.

There is a no cost difference for when he uses the large vehicle

His prices were good and we did last minute changes due to those few days that the temperature dropped low in the evenings

We did not mind waiting for him as we changed the plans while in the park as weather was too cold and rainy.

We did have to wait 20 minutes as he was picking up a family at the airport one day when we wanted to leave at 4:30 and not 9 pm

He did not expect me to tip him for all those additional 10 days of transportation we wanted but it was much appreciated he said
When we stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for a portion of our stay and went to Disney, it was a short drive for him.

He said it was not necessary but I insisted to tip.

Many car service companies are not doing well now as many visitors will not travel due to the covid situation.

We had a total of 14 rides with Tony and it was affordable.
He did revise his charges for the days it took only ten minutes to drop us off at a few of the Disney parks.

The man is a gem to all his customers.
He handled all the luggage even when I told my son to help unload our cases and groceries.

(My son got lazy so I tipped more on the grocery shopping days )
 
Thanks, macraven. As soon as Southwest releases flights for October (and I can book flight - Fall Break here used to be in September, but now it is in October. Ugh more expensive trip in October lol), I will book Tony. I want to thank you and others here for recommending Tony. Our first trip we used taxis and resort transportation. After that, based on all the glowing reviews here, I took the plunge and booked Tony. No looking back now. Total trust. Thanks!
 
Thanks to all of you and your wonderful word about Tony, I booked him too for my spring trip! I’m so excited it’s been 2 years since we’ve been back to Disney and our 1st with Tony!
