I'd love to hear all feedback from Tony's! We have yet to go there and this is our first time coming up and I am a little worried since I have heard mixed reviews. We have some picky eaters in our bunch so if you have any reviews please share!:confused3

We ate here for the first time in 2008 and we loved it. All we kept hearing were bad reviews but figured we would try it for ourselves and couldn't have been more pleased.

We go there every trip, usually for lunch. In our family, it is a must-do. They usd to have Mickey shaped cheese ravioli that the kids both loved, but that's not on the kids' menu anymore. Even without the Mickey ravioli, we still enjoy a meal there every trip.

It is a must do for us also. I always go for the traditional spaghetti and meatballs. DH loves the chicken parm and the kids usually have pasta. The desserts are also fab. You can also check out the menus and see if you think everyone would find something they'd like... :surfweb: the internet is a wonderful thing.

Put me down for a negative. It was not the food, that was OK but certainly not spectacular. No complaints, it was just a regular meal.

the service however was awful! We were there for 2 hours (actually at our table for that long, this does not include waiting to be seated). It was slowwwwww. Everything took forever!! We never did get drink refills and I go my meal 20 minutes after DH and DD. It was just not a good experience overall.

Yeah, they may have been having a bad night, but it still made me not want to return - KWIM?

Here is my review from October 2009-you can check out the pictures in the review link below too.

Tony’s Town Square, October 6th

So we were eating at Tony’s Town Square before the party at 5:00PM. I originally planned on getting an adr for the Plaza, but it was booked till about 7:00 PM on this evening due to the party. So we ate at two Italian places- most of the time I cannot get enough Italian food! Tony’s is another one of those hit or miss places, heavy on the miss. Our server, Ed, guided us to my decorated birthday table complete with confetti and streamers. It was about half full in the main dining room and only a few tables were occupied in the atrium area where we were seated.

Ed was going for the gold this evening. He was extremely friendly and helpful with the meal selections. We kept it simple and ordered some mixed green salads and I went with the garlic cheese toast. It was a crusty toasted loaf with melted bubbly mozzarella cheese topped with chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil. It must be a newer item on the menu and I hope they continue to serve it.

A round a spaghetti and sausages for our entrees arrived and Ed returned to grate some parmesan cheese. It wasn’t the best tasting sauce, a little bitter, but full and robust at least. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sausages were tasty. The spumoni for dessert was complete with a lighted candle for my birthday celebration. Ed proceeded to dump a pile of Mickey head confetti in my hair, but it was all in good fun!

The appetizer, salads and dessert were pretty darn good. The sauce was a little sour, but edible. Ed was a great server and made sure our drinks were full and were happy with our meals. I will probably consider returning for dinner before the MNSSHP next year because of its convenience and quality of food and service, but perhaps try a different entrée. We were done eating around 6:00 PM and it was time for the party!

meh. we went in 2005 without a ressie and really enjoyed it...heck i even ate goats milk cheese! they were good! anyways, so we tried it again in april. i was very very disappointed. the food was okay, not really bad, but our server was awful. we didnt even get a choice for desserts. she brought a sundae for dd i believe and one with a candle for ds, dh and i to share. she didnt even ask, just arrived with those. i was kinda upset/mad, i love trying new desserts at disney and i missed out this time. so we wont be going back any time soon.

I consider myself a very picky eater. I love Tonys . The food is very good :thumbsup2

We thought the food was sort of on-par with Olive Garden...that being said, we love Olive Garden so we also enjoyed Tony's. :) Nothing mind-blowingly spectacular, but a good Italian meal.

The decor is based on the Lady & The Tramp movie...that was one of my favorites as a child, so I really loved the atmosphere. DH and I decided next time we would order spaghetti just so we could get a picture with each of us eating an end of the same noodle, just like the movie. ;)

It's worth trying, plus the location is great. :thumbsup2

We really enjoyed Tony's. Was it fine Italian cuisine? Absolutely not, but the food was tasty... even dessert! Our only complaint was that we felt a bit rushed, as the restaurant was extremely busy and they were trying to turn tables over quickly. That said, we would definitely return. Why not give it a whirl!

On pain of death will I ever eat here again. It takes a extremely vivid imagination to remotely even call this Italian food. It truly was the only restaurant that everyone sent their food back. My 10 year old (at the time) loves franco american spaghetti and thought tony's was horrible.

Sorry, it's pretty much the one place at the world I think should close.

Hey look at it this way, there is a reason Tony's gets waay more negative reviews than any other place.

My family and I really like this place, it always the first table service we eat at when we go! We have always had good food and good service there!

I liked Tony's. Our server was fantastic and made our meal there special. She even had the chef come out and talk to my dad about sugar free dessert options (he is diabetic). Our main dishes were pretty good. My only complaint was my dessert. It was obviously not freshly made. It was still partially frozen in the middle. I would still go back.

Nothing spectacular about the food but not horrible. Our server was fantastic! And when I checked in at the podium I asked for a table on the front porch. I was trying to time our meal around Spectromagic. And we got exactly what we asked for. It was our last night at WDW and it was the most magical!

We ate there a couple of weeks ago. No reservations, but we waited only 10 min. or so. The food was pretty good, but as a PP said, the service was horrible. She was very slow, even though it wasn't very crowded. Our bread and appetizer was served along with our meals....we 'lost' sight of her for a long time, so no refills, or other drinks could be ordered. We were seated at a table near the front window, so we were able to see the start of the Main Street Electrical Parade, so all was not lost :) It was our first night there, so we were in the "magical" mode, and didn't complain. The service, however, was not up to par.

I had lunch there last October by myself after my travel buddy left for his earlier flight. The food was very good and the service was the best I had on my whole trip!!! I had the mixed greens salad, chicken parmesan, and pistachio creme brulee and everything was yummy!!! I say give it a try - you have to take the opinions of others with a grain of salt - you won't know if YOU like it until you try it!!!:goodvibes

I had the chicken parm there in August 2008 there and thought it was great! It was the first day of free dining, and the MK (and the restaurants) were absolutely packed, but we didn't have any complaints about the service. We had a good experience, but I've read so many horrible reviews (and quite a few glowing ones), I think this restaurant may just be a crap shoot. :confused3
