What does everyone think of this as a dinner option. We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern and thought it was terrible. I thought we would try something new for our next trip. Any opinions?? Thanks!

I agree - we did a grand gathering at Tonys this past August and it was the worst meal I have ever had at WDW

We went there last October, and did not like it either. We had really enjoyed it before in past trips, so when it wasn't good this last trip, it was extra disappointing. My steak was tough and dry (and it was only medium) and the kids spaghetti sauce tasted like it was only watered down tomato paste, it was gross. I can't remember what else we didn't like (it's been almost a year) but those were examples that I do remember. I'd choose something else if it were me. :guilty:

On our last trip Tony's was hands-down the worst of all of our meals. It was so [obviously] bad that the server actually got management to waive taking our dining credit without us even asking. [of course we wound up with credits left over, so it wasn't *really* a gain, but the thought was nice]

I'm worried now!! I booked Tony's for one of the ADRs for my DBS's surprise 30th birthday trip....it came highly recommended....if the food is that bad maybe I should change the ressie?

:thumbsup2 We always have a good experience at Tony's. My parents ate there the other day and can't stop talking how Great the food was . She said it's always good but this time was better than other times.

I never really had a good meal there, and have been back a few times to give it a fair shot. There really isn't any really good restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. You would think that Disney would catch on and change that.....

We (dd-7, MIL and I) had dinner there in July. Dd picked Tony's for her birthday dinner.

I had never eaten there before and was quite wary about it with all the reviews I had read here and elsewhere.... but dd really wanted to eat here.
I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't the best meal of the trip..but it wasn't horrible either. The service was first rate and the food was decent. Our waiter even scrounged up some chicken nuggets for dd because she didn't feel like eating pasta or pizza.

There aren't many opttions for decent dining in MK... if you really want a level higher in food I would opt for a TS meal at one of the area resorts. We really enjoy Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare!

I ate there in 2005 before and I was weary, but I bit the dust and went to form my own opinion. well I was pleasantly surprised especially after reading all the negative comments on here. I say try it, you might lick it likes ome other on here. Let us know what your thoughts about it are after you eat there. :)

Regarding Tony's, can I entice you to try the Plaza instead? Granted, it's a sandwich/burger/salad/ice cream restaurant, but it's hands down the best there is.

We ate there 2 years ago. The wait in the 'lobby' area was totally chaotic. The food was so-so. The service bordered on surly (when he found out we were ordering individual appetizers but sharing an entree). I appreciated having an outside table. That was the highlight of the meal- the table.

'nuf said.

Tony's = Yucky's in our house. It was the worst meal we've had at WDW. The desert was the best part of the meal and even that was mediocre. We were seated long past our ADR time, the service was sub-par and the food was bad. I don't recommend eating there. Sorry!

Nice to hear - we have the Plaza as our very first stop when we arrive at MK our first day - figured we'll be starving after traveling that day and was hoping this would be a good choice!

We've eaten at the plaza before, and liked it. It's just sandwiches, but they are good sandwiches. I really liked their cheesesteak sandwich. :) Better than Tony's IMO.

We did not like Tony's but totally enjoyed LTT!!! This was last December/NewYears! I think, if Ihave the correct place, we had pot roast and it was very, very good!!!! And the kids loved the deserts!

ATe at Tony's in July the service was prompt and friendly. The meal did not take a long time. Our food was good. I'll add here that it wasn't OH WOW this is great but it was good and I wouldn't mind going back again.

Tried Tony's for the first time in August, despite the bad reviews. Food wasn't worth the money, sorry to say. Both kids got the spaghetti (one with meatballs and one with sausage) and only picked at it. DH got the steak and said it was only okay.

My meal was tasty, but very different. I tried the pork tenderloin with polenta.

Desserts - I got the lemon/walnut cake and it was very good, tho a little fridge-smelly. DH got the ice cream bomb and he said it was just okay. DD LOVED her tirimisu. DS skipped dessert, I think.

So, glad we tried it but wouldn't hustle back there. Pricey.

We usually end up there every trip because of the convenience of having an ADR in the park before the MNSSHP or P&P.
Honestly, I've never had a terrible meal there, but I've never had a really good one either. We'll be there again in a few weeks (before MNSSHP) so I'll be able to report back with a recent visit.

We were kind of disappointed in May...went at 5:00 before P&PP and ended up having another meal at around 10:00 at Cosmic Rays because we were hungry. And we each had an appetizer, and entree and we shared 1 dessert (the pistachio creme brulee was gross and virtually untouched). Before that, in December, we really liked our meal and I don't recall needing to eat another meal a few hours later. :confused3

But I always recommend trying something once to form your own opinion. Just because someone wasn't thrilled with their meal 4 months ago doesn't mean that you'll have the same experience now, KWIM?

We eat at Tony's every time we're in MK and love the food. It always baffles me what people order that makes them say it's so horrible, or if my family and I just have really bad taste!
