We have ADR @ Tony's Town Square for dinner for our upcoming trip, I'm hoping I can get some opinions. I've heard good and bad, now I'm not sure if I should keep them or not. Thanks for the help.

There are several posts on this at least one very recent so a quick search I am sure you will find some reviews

every person has different likes/dislikes so you're going to hear good and bad reviews no matter where you go. what you may love someone else may hate.. it all depends on your tastes - i'd say try it at least once, if you like it you'll know you can go back one day.. if not, then you know next time to book someplace else.. :)

I was so confused in 2005, I had heard good and bad but I was going to go for halloween and wanted to stay in the park so I made my adrs, it was PS then and I ate there. we had the salmon and it was really good. I would go there again. I was glad I went and didn't listen for a change, try it, you won't know untill you do, hope you have as good of an experience as I did.

Keep it. We dined there in Aug 2007 and it was good. We've made another ADR for this August 2008.

Above that, you need to go by your personal tastes. Ohana is very popular here, I thought it was just Meh. That's just my personal taste though. You should go there and try it for yourself. If you like it like I did, great. If not, you know better for next time.

You know I have heard a ton of bad things about Tonys but we are going to try it in August anyways. Ohana used to get a bad wrap but we loved it!

We've been to Tony's 3xs (most recently December 2007) and have enjoyed it every time! The portions are large so my DH and I usually each order a salad and then share an entrée (they even split the entrée in the kitchen before brining it out.) My DS likes fettuccine Alfredo and was disappointed in May 2007 when it wasn't offered on the children's menu...we mentioned this to our server said he could take care of it. They bring bread and olive oil/pesto/sun dried tomato but I prefer good old butter and got it! Never got dessert. Like to schedule our ADR @1 1/2-2 hours before Spectro Magic so when we are done we can just walk outside and watch it go by and then leave the park.

Have never tried Tony's, but agree with above poster who said just because it gets raves here doesn't mean you will like it. Sept 2007 we had ADR's at Boma and I was really excited because you hear such good things here about it. I was my least favorite meal of the trip and I will not be going back. Just personal preference.

It's our family tradition to eat Tony's as our first meal at Disney every time. We love it, it's not our favorite resturant but we like the food, atmosphere, and the location is perfect.

I agree with all the other posters, we eat at Tony's for the convenience. It isn't the best meal we eat at Disney, but it isn't the worst meal we eat either. Middle of the road to good in my opinion. Go and enjoy!

We ate at Tony's Oct 2007 and enjoyed our meal. The food isn't excellent but is definitly good. The service was good and the location can't be beat. I say give everything a try at least once! Enjoy your meal!

We have had dinner at Tony's twice. One time was pretty good and the other just so-so. I did not enjoy the spaghetti and meatballs, sauce was just too sweet for me. But for the so-so dinner we got a seat outside to watch Spectro. Our server was fantastic about stretching our meal so that we could stay for the parade. Even with the so-so food, we left him an extra tip (on top of the dining plan tip at the time) because we held up his table for long.

We are going back in August but for lunch. I really want to try the panini. As the previous posters have said, everyone has their own likes & dislikes so you should try it. People always rave about Boma and we found our experience to be just ok. Food was fine but our service was just awful. I was very disappointed with our meal there after reading the rave reviews here. That works both ways, so some places that are not well liked here, may become your family's favorites.

It's a matter of what you like. I equate Tony's to an Olive Garden type experience. The food is fine, it's not going to win any cullinary awards but it's not a bad meal and the options of dining in the MK are limited.

We ate there 2 weeks ago and requested a table on the patio and got to watch Spectro from our table. Not having to deal with the crowds was worth the mediocre meal to me.

We have eaten there the past 2 xmas weeks at 8:45pm(or so)and were seated in the conservatory(did not request it) and had a great view of Sectro Parade. Dinner was good both times, but last year we felt rushed and had 2 waiters to push along the meal. One asked us if we wanted dessert to go so we could see the special xmas wishes fireworks...not sure about the motive, but we had dessert at the table and still we able to see the fireworks as we headed for the bus. (also we were on DDP both times, but last meal we were all given a sample of three desserts and told that was the only option...not sure about that-although they were all great!).

What time was your ADR? We have a 7pm ADR hoping to watch an 8pm Spectro. Is that a good time?

OP,
We're eating at Tony's for the 1st time in Oct. It's the only MK restaurant we haven't eaten at & I've always wanted to see the inside. We're taking our DS's GF, who is a picky eater, so I've decided now is the time to try it. I've listened to the negative reviews for years, & am going to ignore them this time. As others have said, you'll never know until you try it for yourself.

We ate there in October and ended up not liking it at all. The service was non-existent, and the food was just not good.

On that same note though, I recommend that you keep the ADR and try it for yourself. Just because the service was lousy one night doesn't mean it's always like that. Plus, there are several restaurants that people are constantly critical about that we absolutely love like Nine Dragons and Planet Hollywood.

We didn't care for Tony's...It says it has a Lady and The Tramp theme but all I saw was a small picture on the wall...If you eat at fine Italian restaurants..you will not like it. The sauce was watery...it freaked my hubby out  I found all the food for the most part in WDW to be mediocre at best...Tony's has a nice outside area and the service was good...Enjoy your trip :)
