I plan on attending dinner at one of these just before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party... which one would your recommend and why? Thanks,

Can't say as to LTT (but it no longer has character dining) but it's different fare from Tony's.

Personally, we love Tony's (holds a special place for me and my gf, too). Never had a bad meal there and love the atmosphere. And if you get a table near the window, it's nice to look out onto Main St (esp. when parades are going by)

Been to both but in my opinion LTT don't compare to Tony's. I would definately pick Tony's. :thumbsup2

Neither. Do not do a sit down dinner for MVMCP - you'll miss party time while eating. Do lunch at LTT instead and then grab CS for dinner before the party starts - it will be quicker and you'll have more party time to use for actual party events. (Make sure to prioritize the actual party events and get to them early so you have a spot - worry about rides after you've done everything else first, the park is open late and the rides will be walk on after the last fireworks/parade most likely.)

I believe the OP was going to do dinner *before* MVMCP started.

What are your thoughts on an early dinner at Crystal Palace... 4 - 5... ?

Some people think the food is barely passable.

I prefer breakfast there over the dinner options but the food is good, imo, and the character interaction is great, esp. the parade with the characters and the kids through the restaurant. :)

The Crystal Palace was the only meal we've had at WDW that we did NOT enjoy. We actually found it awful.

I agree with this. We enjoy Crystal Palace, but would much rather go for breakfast than dinner.

We love Liberty Tree Tavern - the food has always been good. And we love the setting.

I would do a Tonys lunch. That way you have time to get your wristbands, etc without a huge wait.

Tony's is one of our all time favorite places to eat. We never miss it! I have only eaten at LTT one time, didn't really enjoy it.

In January we found Tony's to be  We enjoyed LTT but it was the character lunch at the time because Crstal Palace was closed. :) I would go with LTT my bet would be that any meal served there would be tastier than Tony's :rotfl2:
