Tony's Town Square vs Crystal Palace

there are no characters at Tony's. I wouldn't call it "fancy", but there is a statue/fountain of Lady & the Tramp. If your niece wouldn't be afraid of the characters, I recommend the buffet at Crystal Palace. Although we will be going both places in October, so we like both.
