I've read a few places that the food here is mediocre. How true is this?

We go everytime at least once for lunch. Their panini sandwiches are delicious! It's been a few years since we've been for dinner, but it's a must do for lunch with us. We always ask to sit in the "glass room", so we get a great view of Main St. and the beautiful atmosphere of Tony's.

oooo, do people sit in the glass room for spectro?

We haven't had a bad meal there yet. For some of the dishes it seems like the price is a little high but you get enough food to make up for it.

I certainly wouldn't count it amoung the top 50 places one could eat on property.
The food I think is "ok" but some of the pricing is aweful. For example, $20 for spaghetti seems really high to me.

Don't go by reviews and others opinions because for every person you ask, you'll get a different answer, for any restaurant.

You should just try it for yourself so you can decide.

Having said that, my DDs and I ate there for dinner this past Oct and we loved it. I had the steak and they had the pizza and spaghetti from the kids' menu.

My advice, stay away from the adult Spag & Meat balls because it's expensive for an ok dish. That's what most complain about $20 for ok Spag!

The atmosphere is great.

I like it for lunch, and love the atmosphere! It's just a nice place to get out of the heat and eat.

Tony's is fine. It's not especially great nor is so much more expensive than any other place.

We haven't eaten at Tony's in a few years and will be eating dinner there on our next trip! Does anyone know if they still bring out that delilous dip with the bread, I think it was sundried tomato or was is roasted pepper either way it was just good!!!!!!!

When we ate there in Oct, you had to buy it. It wasn't free...but we were on the dining plan; don't know if that matters or not.

I had some of the same concerns for our up coming trip. I read some good and some bad things about it but decided to give it a try. I mean I know some people who absolutely love 1900 park fare and we were sooo disappointed with it that we would never go back. Go figure.
