We're looking for an Italian dinner, but don't want another Epcot meal (we already have 2). Would you recommend Tony's or Mama Melrose? I'm leaning towards Mama Melrose, but I'm open to suggestions. Thank you!!

Neither come close to the best Italian available at WDW, but we like Mama Melrose a little better than Tony's overall. Most folks who's reviews I've read feel that the difference is even larger than we feel it is (but still in the same direction: Mama Melrose > Tony's).

Haven't eaten at Tony's but we all thoroughly enjoyed MM when we ate there in 2009. Really wonderful steak and pasta.

Was not impressed with Mama Melrose but have only eaten there once. We've been to Tony's for 2 dinners and one lunch. Each time food was very good. What I really enjoyed was the above average service every time. We have picky kids and each time the chef just made whatever pasta the kids wanted and ignored the menu.

I,m usually in the minority but I did not like mama melrose. Tony's is ok, good but not fantastic or even close. I know you said you don't want another EPCOT but those two are far superior. Can you give up one of the other EPCOT places in favor for Napoli or Tutto and then add in another ressie? If you post your iTenerary maybe some people can help.

We like both. Probably though I'd choose MM for the steak. That was one of the best meals we had our last trip - honestly, the steak there was better than the one I had at AP.

Haven't eaten at Tony's but Mama Melrose is good. If I was going for Italian I'd go for Tutto Italia, it's fantastic.

We have been to both and Mama Melrose is the best!! Tony's is ok but it is not fantastic!!!

I would choose Mama Melrose, although we did enjoy Tony's recently too. :)

Have been to both and enjoy both... I prefer Tony's for the theme & atmosphere while I prefer Mama Melrose for the food.

I know, we're probably in the minority but we love Tony's. The food is good, standard americanized italian and the atomosphere is great. We enjoyed eating a nice meal in MK, the nicest we have found in MK actually!

We prefer Tonys over MM, but as others said neither comes close to Tutto or Via Napoli. I would make the extra trip to Epcot if I specifically wanted Italian.

We have been to both a few times and prefer Tonys

I can't speak to Tony's, but the one time I ate at Mama Melrose's, I really disliked it. It seemed like everything involved bleu cheese and it just wasn't what i would call authentic italian at all.

Gorgonzola is a veined Italian blue cheese. It is named after the community of Gorgonzola, in the province of Milan, part of Lombardy, northern Italy, and has been made there for over a thousand years. Gorgonzola is one of the more interesting components of Milanese cuisine.

Haven't been to MM in a long time. But I did go to Tony's and it was one of my most embarassing moments at WDW. I booked it for DH's mom and dad as they love Italian. The service and food were both pretty bad. It was only 1 of 2 restaurants that were went to with them. I wish we had gone someplace else.

There are so many great places to eat at WDW, I would look for someplace else.
